SLAP is another portion of that procedure where the tissue that encapsulates the joint is repaired.. as well as the joint itself.

Hope you're doin alright, looks like a doozy to heal from.

Did they give you the rope and pulley exercise? If not, that might happen when you start therapy

Goooootcha, yeah I get what you mean. SLAP's can be a pain in the ass recovery-wise if the biceps tendon was involved, some surgeons want you fully immobile so it doesn't pull on the labrum while it's healing initially. When given the "ok" keep it as mobile as your body allows (within your restrictions of course) and always always always do your home-exercise plan given by PT. Just going to a clinic 2-3 days/week isn't enough. Shoulder surgeries "fail" most often because people either do way too much too early or nothing at all, there's rarely a middle ground.

I follow my PT regiment down to the letter as well as home exercise.
Recovery from shoulder injuries and subsequent surgery are painstakingly slow...and painful.

My surgeon told me now, and back when he did my other shoulder, don't get stupid.
Taking that container of milk out of the fridge too soon can rip those fresh anchors right out.

I had my surgery end of August for a shredded left shoulder with multiple issues. My surgeon described it as "tornado damage" .

Jeebus. Yeah I didn't follow PT on my knees when I was younger. It wasn't that bad but they were trashed from riding bikes. Wake up at 13 and need to crack my knees. Not good. Have gotten better since I stopped riding BMX though. It's a trade off. Knees get better - stop having as much fun on the bike  There's a skatepark near me though. It's dinky but might take her for a rip. Mountain biking is, surprisingly, a lot softer on the knees. The bike has suspension instead of the knees being the suspension :D

Last day at my current job today. And really I've done 0 work this week, so basically last Friday was my last day. Got a week until I start the new one.

Need to finish framing the structure for my new shed to sit on, hopefully the shed gets delivered Monday and then I need to assemble. Then move crap out of the garage / basement into the shed. Then I can move the washer/ dryer from upstairs down to the closet that current houses the snowblower/ lawmmower/ yard tools in the garage. Then I can move the pantry shelves from the basement up to the first floor where the washer/dryer currently are. Then I have to sheetrock a portion of the basement and frame out a few quick walls to make am office down there.

    "Week off...."

Whatever you do don't burn them, they are chock full of carcinogens that are used to preserve the poles.
