lol. I’ve been doing the Salad & Go thing for since they opened. $1 frozen lemonades are my favorite part.

I love that place. I hate spending almost $20 for lunch on wraps but it's worth it.

Im gonna have to try this now! Those salads do look bomb.

I went to the self serve wash, why the hell is it so satisfying to blast mud off suspension parts? It's like its scratching some deep psychological itch

Also, damn the skid got a lot more intimate with Sedona than I initially realized!
    skid scrapes.jpg

Still straight as an (un)broken arrow.:p:p Checked it with a flatedge and everything, no deflection front to back or side to side. The diff cage wasn't perfectly true but I never really measured that to begin with, and you'd have to use a feeler gauge to even tell how far out it was.

So I guess it's even more of a vote for Aluminum being OK so long as you aren't mobbing hard AF. I still have this compulsion to countersink that filter door's bolts.

It'll buff out. :p Seriously though it looks better with wear. If ya have to, just hit with a rattle can and you're good to go.

Yeah I might touch it up since some of it is bare metal, but then again it’s not like that matters with aluminum… but it’s very interesting to note what scrapes and what doesn’t. The exhaust crossover that everyone is constantly on about barely got much rash compared to the two reinforcement bars that cover the cats. And the control arms didn’t see anything…

It’s all line choice. Rerun it 1.37 feet to the left and you won’t scrape anything

A lot of it seems to be picking the right speed too. There are some things you want to ease over and others you don’t want to drop into. For me the coolest part was up on the rocks before devil’s staircase where there’s so many different choices.

My dad is bringing the go pro footage this weekend so everyone can critique my piss poor technique. I think I’m actually sort of alright, maybe B-, good enough not to wreck things but not good enough to gracefully creep through unscathed.

I’m sure the holes and dips have gotten deeper since the last time I ran it. But when we did it in the wife’s stock 4Runner a few years ago I think the only thing we scraped was the hitch.

Same. Ran through it plenty with stock Tacomas. The hitch is the only thing that routinely touches the rock.

Maybe it was because I had aired down and had 3 people in there… But yeah the ruts were pretty deep, though I have nothing to compare to. :notsure:

I bet sliding on wet rocks was the main issue.

Probably. Any attempt to stay out of ruts was kind of futile in spots. You’ll hear my tires chirping as I went down the staircase.

I am half looking forward to / half dreading running that trail.
I got used to it with my jeep on 35s and definitely got lazy.
Ill have to pay attention with my stock taco

The fun part is going backwards and going up the hill at the end

Our trucks spend more time in drive through lanes, don't judge us.

No judgement, it’s the way it should be hah. With some midget stripper action sprinkled in.

Speak for yourself. My Tacoma sees less pavement than dirt.......................

Been parked in the dirt RV parking on the side of the house since 2015. Has had about 2k miles pit on it in the last 6 years
