    Damn.

I topped off completely before driving 222.4 miles to @eon_blue

Filling up when I left, I topped off with 12.89 gallons.

Getting home and topping off again, I filled to 13.09 gallons.

That's an average of 17mpg, granted it was freeway only, I'd say I was a bit surprised.

    Edit: I'm dumb, didn't notice the 000s

Greez. I can pull down 20 when I’m in a hurry, with a kayak on top.

    Is your gas tank leaking?

Sounds like the bearings are shot on the dual axle trailer you're towing.

I literally wondered that for a while. After spending 3 years trying to figure it out, I gave up and learned to live with it. Is yours a 4 banger though?

    Yeah, it is.
Geared really low and an mt with adorable tires. Only way it could be more ideal is to make it 2wd

I don't really sweat MPGs too much unless they take a drastic hit.

Last time I noticed a drop my lower fuel filter was full of rust and the low pressure fuel pump was getting noisy. Got fuel from somewhere with a bad tank :homer:

I've done everything I can think of but wheel bearings and brake pistons - possible sources of friction. I think I have 4.10 gears, but idk how that ranks.
Everything on this truck is pointing me towards going standalone ECU...but $$$$

I like having a decent range. 300 miles without even really trying is great.

I remember those days. I'm happy to break 200 now

I need to see if got better after I took the roof rack off, haven't done much highway since. Kinda avoiding it until I get my alignment fixed

Yeah that would drive me nuts. A couple times now when kayaking we drive somewhere out in the boonies and being able to get gas easy at the big city before setting out and then make it back on the same tank works well.

    what gears do you have?

What size tires do you use?

I have 2.7l, 4.10 gears, 31x10.5r15 and usually work out to about 22-23mpg over a tank with 50-75% highway miles.

EDIT: Also 5spd and manual hubs.

I'm not 100% sure my odometer is accurate. No idea if 31 is the original tire size, and I haven't bothered to GPS-check the speedo. It seems close enough when I drive past those radar signs on the highway, at least...
