    Once camping season started I left most of my stuff in Runner all the time. Took out the propane bottles and cooler, everything else just stayed put. Too much effort to repack it all every weekend.
    And in the winter I always keep my emergency kit in the vehicle at all times. Backpacker stove and pot, water filter, sleeping bag, space blanket, fire starter kit, extra socks, boots and ski pants. Just common sense around here.
