    Congratulations @Hunterdc1
First child? I remember the first one being scary a little....ya know just taking care of and sometimes fever, colds lots of little things. I remember someone gave us a book that worked like a flow-chart of all things but it was very helpful :)

@RustyGreen , I overheard discussion about this truck and talked to the owner. He just finished frame off restoration.

Last year for the 390 I believe. The best years for the Fords in my opinion. Great looking, giant cab - Ford literature called it "the four man cab" back in those pre-seatbelt days. They had extensive power train options too along with standard disc brakes and electronic ignition by then.

The only down side was that Ford didn't use integrated power steering on the 4wd trucks until 1979. Under the front was a mess of hoses, a ram cylinder and a hydraulic control valve -- in short a complicated leaky mess.

Yes, I recall that hydraulic ram and it leaking but nothing major at the time. The truck I drove just had a 360 but Uncle later made changes and converted to 390. For a big beast of a truck it pulled pretty good. I never abused it badly because it was so nice and not mine to tear up! Also I think the wheels at the time on this one were called Hurricanes but I'd have to Google it to be sure. 16.5" too I believe

We were very lucky, my kid slept through the night almost immediately, hopefully you'll be lucky too.
Enjoy the baby stage as much as possible; believe it or not, you're gonna miss it someday.
