No need to worry about me going over to the Harley camp. I've had a couple. You DO have me thinking about that dual sport thing. Sent a message to TX motorsports checking on their stock. I figure for $2k I can beat the crap out of it and not care much.

that's who I bought mine from and I paid for the pro assembly for peace of mind.

It was between the Hawk DLX and the Orion RXB 250L

    https://www.orionpowersports.com/pr...rt-bike-free-shipping-fully-assembled-tested/

Ultimately I went w/ the DLX for 2 reasons:
    1) the Orion's still have not shipped out their 2021s, they are stuck in the LA Harbor, (but should be arriving any day now)
    2) The Hawk is EFI and I am not much on tweaking carbs

    come ride it :D

I can cruise at 65mph and never had a fail to start.... I've dropped it once and crashed it 3 times (getting sideways on a flat track) and it's never let me down.

The only things I've had go "wrong" is the tack weld broke that holds the exhaust heat shield on, so I need to get that fixed (took it off for now) and the bolt that holds the exhaust to the tailpiece of the bike came loose and fell off ($2 replacement at Tractor Supply)

bike is all stock except LED headight/tail light, better (sealed) battery....

I have a front and rear sprocket and better chain to go on it, but havent got around to installing

Motorcycle carbs I'm good with. Car carbs? Not so much. I have no clue why. Orion's assembly looks pretty comprehensive. Hmmmmm....

The Orion looks like the "better" bike for sure... more power, counterbalanced, 6-speed, etc... the zhongshen engine is bulletproof and looks to be the same that comes in the GPX bikes and the Kayo bikes (which are competing w/ the Japanese bikes)

Once I get my garage setup, bring it over and I can tack weld the heat shield for you.

Nice.. I've been looking at the T700 for awhile now, but cannot find one anywhere. Totally agree about thrashing a 10K bike around and screwing it up. That said, I've been looking into the 300 line up for light off road and flipping around. I'm not a red guy but could deal with the Honda CRF300L or Rally. Also looking at the Kawasaki KLX300.

Tri county honda out in WV. has the new KLR650 ADV. Wouldn't mind seeing in person though. A coworker has bought a few bikes outta that place over the years because they don't charge prep, setup or freight fees. Although.. That little thing you mention has possibilities.

I pulled the center section out of the diff again. Can the truck sit on its own weight without the center section supporting the inside of the axles?

I have heard both answers but if the hubs are bolted in it seams like it shouldnt matter because the axle shouldnt support any wheel weight

Is your van 6-lug? You want a set of wheels and tires for it? The tires have a little dry rot between the tread blocks, but they're usable. Just want them disappeared.

Why? Don't the hubs support the wheels just like the front?

Because we have a semi float rear axle and not a full float. It’s simply not designed to have any load on it without the inner piece of the axle shaft supported. It’s not worth the risk to the wheel bearings imo. I’ve replaced a rear wheel bearing, it was $400 for one side for oem parts.
