I should turn it into a poll, would you rather: own a small condo with little mortage or buy a Jeep?

I'll keep my '06 Tacoma and the cash.

Much better use for the $$ in the future.

The problem is not the price, it is the bank that will lend money to idiots on an asset that will only go down in value, wear out, and break. What is killing me is people who "can't afford" a house around me are all driving a $45-55k 4 door jeep. You can still get a small ranch around here for $125-175k... I now know why my old man kicked my ass when I wanted to finance a truck at age 22 and made me realize what the real numbers were. Sadly his "style" of teaching is frowned upon in today's society LOL.

one of the best decisions i ever made was to not buy (finance) a truck back in 2012/13 ish. i just made due with my old ranger until i got through school, then got an 05 tacoma, sold it, drove a salvaged honda fit for a year, and married a girl with a '10 tacoma. new trucks are nice but not having a vehicle payment is nicer.

LOL lets beat up our kids for wanting to follow in the societal norms and make them do as i say or else “style”….

An educated discussion is a more healthy approach and let people make their own decisions. Thats the thoughts of young adults

There comes a point when the umbilical cord must be cut so the kids can stand on their own.

Sometimes, life is the best teacher. Life can be harsh.

Yes it's so we can be even less social with our family and be even more distracted.

Nah it's getting more popular. Apparently gen x doesn't want debt. But that's what I heard.
