Does anyone have an Eclipse AVN deck or perhaps even a Pioneer AVIC installed in their Tacoma?

I'm thinking about purchasing a Tacoma, and the ability to install this deck would be a big deciding factor for me.

    Any thoughts?

I wanted to ensure it would fit.. I.e. dash kit existed, it fit into the dash, etc.

Upon doing some more searching, looks like a bunch of people have installed the Pioneer units..

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
Sorry to bring up a dead thread but by plug and play what do you mean? Like no cutting/soldering and same adapter?

With the proper adapters there is no cutting/soldering needed if just adding it to the factory speakers

With proper adapters? thats the ambiguity I'm stuck on. So I can either cut and splice like I would with any other head unit or order an adapter?

Yes you can cut/splice however it is so much easier these days with adapters. :)

from what I read "some" are plug and play. so wouldn't that still make Mr. Marv half right?

I think that is all their double din stuff haha. Reason Why i'm discussing all this is because I have a 5510 on order from sonicelectronix. not sure if they still have the deal going but they had one on thanksgiving that was 600 for a avn5510 w/ bt and ipod adapter.

I know the AVN 5435 will fit because my truck came with one in it... Which I can't help but ask, does anybody have a disc for the AVN 5435 or disc MDV-10d? My truck never had the disc. The unit won't even show me the time without that disc. Sorry for the thread hijack
