Who will I see here?

 

So I got my new mirrors in and installed today. MUCH better than the $150 set I tried first.

If you are thinking about tow mirrors for your truck I highly recommend these. FULL 4 WAY POWER/MANUAL FLIP AND FOLD. Glass did not look like a hurricane was out my window even flipped outward. Icing on the cake, they have built in concave so I can see the trailers blind spots at a glance. While STILL having a mirror larger than the stock to cover even front yards now lol

 

Matt and I will be there around 11:30ish after the car show we are going to in Hunt Valley. Anyone else going to the Hunt Valley Car Show?

 

Boo, I gotta work. And now I got to take my kid to 2 parties on the 16th. If I go to AOAA it’ll be Sunday.

 

Well I guess you have to takes the kiddos to the party then. We will be there the Oct. 22,23 and the 24.

 

You going after for it to be less crowded? That might not be a bad plan, maybe one of those days will work better for me lol.

Evening fellers! I went to the Great Scale Model Train show at the Timonium fairgrounds today, I haven't been to a show in years. It's amazing the number of new products but unfortunately, the prices reflect it. If I ever get to building a small railroad, it will all be with old equipment that I've had for decades.

I also have to give a shout-out to REI. They recently changed their return policy to a time period of one year from the date of purchase. I had purchased some new Salomon hiking boots LAST July ( 2020 ) and just recently used them on the Colorado trip. They were less then supportive and comfy, so I went back to ask for a return, fully expecting them to say no ( which I would have completely understood) but instead, they waived the restriction and gave me my full refund on a store gift card. I went into the hiking boot section and got some new boots to try.

 

Yeah it just kinda worked out that way. That’s when the HiluxSurf Off Road Group is doing the Coal Town Toyota Shakedown. The group was trying to go the weekend of the Takeover, but there were some issues with the camp grounds where we all were planing on staying at so it was bumped to the following weekend. Everyone is staying at the Trailhead Campground at AOAA which is now sold out for that weekend. From my understanding there is still plenty of spots left at Mossy Point Campground which is only about 15 to 20 minutes away from AOAA

Hello everyone!

It's amazing at how the perceptions of risk/reward changes for me as I get less-young. I had to get up on the roof and get over to a far corner to clear out a birds nest in my gutter which as blocking the downspout opening. The amount of vertigo I experienced once I got on the roof was actually frightening to me. I've never had any issues with doing tasks like that in the past.

Suddenly the thought of falling 20' to the ground sounded like a something to avoid at all costs. I couldn't skootch on my butt fast enough to the edge to clear the debris then skootch back and over towards the step ladder to get back down.

 

This day last year this is what some of us TW members were doing. We need to get together soon.
