A few days later (note that the temp tag is gone)...

 

November 2009; My Labrador, Molly, who sadly had to be put to sleep due to failing health less than three months after we bought the Taco (and less than a month and a half after this picture was taken)...

 

Molly was a staggering 15 years old when we put her to sleep, amazingly long for a Labrador or any large dog; She had just turned 15 twelve days before her death and was already in a downward spiral...

 

She was expected to die before the age of 11 due to this skin cancer she had in her toe, but the vet amputated her toe and it not only made her like a puppy again but it eradicated the cancer; Like I said, she lived to be 15!

 

My Tacoma has literally been a shoulder to cry on through the deaths of two beloved dogs; Molly lived an amazingly long and healthy life and only started to develop serious health problems on the last four months or so of her life...

Mandy, on the other hand, left this earth entirely too soon; We adopted Mandy almost nine years after Molly's death, and found out barely a month after getting her that she had a rare (and ultimately fatal) kidney defect. Mandy barely even lived to be a year; I took this picture of her in the bed of my truck about two weeks before I hit 100K miles, and a day before we made the heartbreaking decision to put her to sleep...

 

Just over nine months after Mandy's death, and literally a week before the COVID lockdowns started, we adopted Porter; My mom was not ready for a new dog just yet, but my dad and I outvoted her, and she quickly few to love him!

Here is a photo from Porter's very first ride in the Tacoma, in May 2020; He was terrified at first, but he quickly started to associate my Tacoma with going fun places and learned to love it!

 

My thoughts exactly. How can someone remember so many inane details? Are you the Rainman of Tacoma trucks?

 

Without a doubt, Porter spends more time in my truck than either of my parents' vehicles; Coming in at a close second is my mom's 2013 Nissan Murano...

The vehicle Porter spends the least time is my dad's 2018 GMC Yukon, and it shows; We drove up to Maine for vacation last month and brought Porter along. It was his very first time leaving Pennsylvania as far as we know, and he was a nervous wreck in the Yukon for most of the drive up there; We think that this is because Porter associates long rides in unfamiliar vehicles with abandonment, because he spent the first five months of his life at a shitty puppy mill in Lancaster and then as a result of being taken in by the rescue, he was in at least two different vehicles in a short span of time.

As stated above, he learned to love the Taco because rides in the Taco have always ended with him going someplace fun; He does not mind the Murano, either...

With the Yukon, almost every ride he went on in that prior to the Maine trip was to the vet! The Yukon also has bucket seats in the back (2nd row) as opposed to the Murano's more traditional bench, and Porter does NOT like riding in the rear bucket seat; Folding the seat down partially makes it more for more comfortable.

Anyway, Porter was a nervous wreck on the ride up to Maine, but he slept like a baby for most of the ride back five days later!

 

Probably; Funny you should mention Rainman...

I have Aspergers Syndrome, which is a high-functioning form of autism; I'd be shocked if this didn't have something to do with my incredible memory!

 

My biggest assignment so far was to assemble an animatronic ghost for a display...

 

My handiwork; I have become a master of assembling these things thanks to years of playing with LEGOs, installing car stereos, and of course decorating my own house for various holidays!

 

Are those huge rat turds scattered around?

Fake rocks I think; Don't know what the hell they're supposed to be, but they're made out of styrofoam...
