Works good. Lift up on the ladder, pull the pin ,left one cause I’m left handed and drilled one size bigger,
It flips down ,drop the ladder and re-pin it up so you don’t take your forehead off walking by.
It’s at the top of my reach but not stretching.

TY Good to know. I am getting the booster shot next Monday. I would get it today but we are going to a concert tomorrow night and I need to not be tired or sore.

Another easy day. End of week grocery shopping and gas up the car so it has a full tank tomorrow.

We have not had a decent rain in almost a month. I have to add water to the pond every week. To the west and north of us has had quite a bit of rain.

Of mine and my wife's Phizer shots (all three), we've had zero side effects other than a slight soreness in the arm for a couple days, so minimal that we didn't feel anything until touching the spot where the shots were given. I think all the side effects talk is promoted by the other team. Everyone in my family is on board with the shots but my oldest son who regularly wears a tinfoil hat anyway. He lives in a part of the country that embraces those fanatical radio talk show hosts, so I guess he's just reflecting his local sentiment.

    Evening all:
 Early to bed tonight, and early to rise tomorrow, archery season is here!
Usually we don't hunt the first 2 weeks or so because it's too darn warm, this year it's looking like it's going to be quite a bit cooler, plus my buddies grandson will be joining us and he can only hunt Saturdays and evenings, hopefully we can help get him a deer.
My buddy and I usually only hunt mornings, I will spend some evening time in my tree stand on my property. So far only have a couple small buck on the trail cam, but once the rut starts there could be some better ones show up.

This is exactly why I didn't define it further.
Read into it whatever fits your personal definition, and choose a nice sporty tinfoil hat, ...or not.

Going to try pressed hardwood sawdust & chips fuel blocks this fall/winter. I have firewood left from last year, if needed. Three blocks in a teepee, paper in the middle, one on top, lasts 3 hours. Burns hotter, less creosote, less ash, no popping, non toxic, 5.99 a 20pk. Old timers around here like them. There are cheaper ones, but these are their best seller, get the best reviews. Could also be my answer to needing a new splitter. My back is already thanking me.

14-Oct-2021 update - Cool morning yesterday, tried the fuel blocks in our fireplace in the config stated above. Worked really well. I added one block for a total of five. If I was heating the house, I might use one more. Seems about right for our 42" fireplace. Made a nice manageable non-popping hot fire, added one as needed to maintain, so maybe around 10 all day. Cheap heat. I used a propane torch and a small handful of kindling to start it, but paper and a match works also.

Using firewood, we had to use a tight weave secondary screen to keep popping embers contained, but it also blocked the heat. We now get the full benefit of the fireplace. Since it will heat the house, it's a vented backup heat source. Used it all day, no CO detected. Use a detector, even if the fire is out. CO can be generated from hot coals.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I had no problem with the first shot and just a little soreness in the arm for the second shot. I am getting the Booster on Monday.

Today is laundry, guitar practice and helping my son get Halloween set up in the front yard. Off to a concert this afternoon for an evening show in an outside venue. I think I will break out the jeans and a long sleeve shirt to be prepared for the cooler weather.

Wish me luck. Just ordered a crankshaft pulley and oil seal for the Taco and I know this is going to cause a bit of friction with my wife. I had 10cc of fluid aspirated from my elbow this week and she’s treating me like I’m made of glass. No way is she gonna like the idea me wrenching on the truck.

***cough*** Topic change please, thanks! ***cough***

I went through my mom's coin 'collection' yesterday and inventoried the stuff I think might be interesting. It's not so much an organized lot of coins, it's more like a bunch of stuff she liked, all tossed in a box. I'm going to get it appraised and then decide whether I can divide it into 4 lots; my mom loved the coins but also gave a lot of them to their 4 grandchildren, so I am going to do the same. I'm pretty sure 3 of them will take cash rather than coins; however my son has the coin bug too, apparently it skipped a generation. I sent him the inventory and he let me know what he's interested in. I'm going to try to figure out if I can give him his share in coins! (Insert exploding-head icon here)

Reality is not subjective. Perception of reality is. The whole trick to understanding reality is to stop listening to those that would pervert perception, offering emotionally attractive distractions, and remain skeptical as a herd of followers gathers. Independent thinkers, critical thinkers, don't stand with herds.

I like what Mark Twain said... "Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect."

Just can’t ignore this one. I don’t think ya all want to get into a discussion on the definition of reality. The subject is not simple, it is deep and and complex and has been the subject of discussion for over a thousand years. Philosophers and scientists have problems defining it. And if you look at it from a metaphysical view point its mind boggling.
Reality is subjective because “perception” is subjective. This takes me back to college philosophy classes.
What is being eluded to here is not about reality it is about the politicization of a subject. Once something is politicized then reality, truth, fact, logic , history is abandoned. The trigger word here was “fanatical” in reference to getting or not getting the jab in the arm. Once that word was used people chose sides and circled the wagons. And that is such a politicized topic that reality, truth, fact, logic are abandoned by both sides. Emotions take over and then the discussion goes to shit. In any event carry on gentlemen, interesting to see where this goes.

LOL... I like deep, complex discussion.
One of my favorite quotes is, "There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns- the ones we don't know we don't know.” - Donald Rumsfeld

The guy is a realist. He understands that reality transcends perception. That reality is objective, even when there is more that one true reality, and that perception may recognize true reality, but is often mistaken.
