Empty dealership lots.

That's most Taco's I've seen in one place in last two years.

 

My Toyota dealership only has C-HRs, Corollas and some 2WD Rav4 on the lot.

 

Dealership offered me $45,000 for my 19 pro.
Of course, there’s nothing to buy right now, so…that doesn’t matter.

The green 2021 I can understand jacking up the price on, especially since it's an OR in a desirable color with cool wheels (Still obscenely overpriced though); The 2016 though...?



Not even a TRD Sport, just an SR5; And it has low miles for the year but it's 26K not 2,600...

What are they smoking?!?!

 

My local Toyota has 8 new cars for sale on their lot and not a single Tacoma or Rav4.

 

There was a used car shortage at the beginning of covid. Because all the auctions were closed and a lot of dealerships were scaled back and people weren’t buying. Then everything reopened and people had some cabin fever and were buying what was on the lots. There wasn’t much new inventory because the manufacturers were closed or production haulted. Now at-least around here there’s plenty of used car inventory. Not much new. With slowed production due to staffing shortages, supply chain issues, and the chip shortage. It’s going to be a long time before it gets back to normal. There’s a lot of people who are holding out on buying a new car right now. Used prices are insane, it’s still a better option and finance rates to buy new. So that will continue to deplete new car inventories.

 

It would appear that the big Ford truck I mentioned earlier has been sold; This is the the lot where they put older "bargain" vehicles and newer non-Toyota vehicles...

This lot is usually crammed full of vehicles, but now it's slim pickings!

 

Couple of sweet DCSBs up by the showroom; The green one is new and I believe the blue one is a demonstrator...

 

I would sell my new OR in a heart beat if someone offered 50k+ it only has 300 miles on it. I just don't see these being worth that much even with the shortage.

 

The only three new Tundras on the lot...

Up in Wilkes-Barre there's a dealer listing tons of inventory "in transit". Not sure if it's actually built or not, but I'd assume they have them allocated.

 

U sold to a Ford dealer, did u happen to get an offer frpm a local Toyota dealer also to see how they compared?

This COVID crap needs to end!!! Wife just showed me a new set of queen sheets for $90 wtf??? It unfortunately is affecting everything. I cannot except that this is the new normal. BS!!

The world needs to stop buying things with over inflated prices. Let them sit on it for a while then maybe the prices will start dropping like they should.
