MESO V5 DRL incab "connection"

Low Beam select does that, not Parking circuit.

 

The behavior differences are subtle enough as to be inconsequential. People don’t typically drive around with just parking lights on and have expectations of how their DRL looks.

 

I can only speak for me self. I think it would be a welcomed "feature" for those in locations that rains a lot and it's overcast most of the year...maybe.

 

So is this right? Just DRL on, headlights and v5 bright with both solutions. Turn the parking lights on, v5’s will then dim via headlight T and stay bright with in-cab? The low beams on, v5 will be dim with both?

I always have DRL on and auto headlights, so I guess I’m not sure if my parking lights are ever on by themselves. Haven’t paid that much attention to how it all acts.

Ok got it. That will bother me less than the timing being off between the headlights and mirrors, so I guess I can deal with it lol

 

You'll miss out on the Headlight DRL and V5 coming ON (Bright) at unlock at night...

 

That’s a bit of a bummer, but I’ve already got one of Dave’s harnesses coming so I’ll run with that

So you drive during daylight in rain with parking lights on, headlight DRL full bright and you would care that your mirrors are full bright vs dim?

To this thinking, I’ve taken to running parking lights only in various places like parking lots where low beams could blaze into restaurants or pedestrians since the DRL’s are adequate for low speed navigation in a reasonable well lit parking lot. I do this in both minivan and Tacoma. So I can sort of see if a little bit.

I am not sure the difference is significant. Whereas one with unlock is slick and nice and more noticeable. Especially if it fades out.

Another option:
Place a mini relay at each door (under door switch panel) and run only one wire per door to connector 1F_30.
Tap power window fuse for juice. (There are options for a intercept harness so as not to cut the vehicle harness at the door. Passenger's side.
