What is the max tire size on a stock TRD Pro without modifying g suspension? About to order a 2022 Tacoma and trying to decide whether to get a TRD Off-road and put Bilsteins on it or go ahead and order (and wait) for a TRD Pro.

The TRD Pro just seems like would be a waste to buy and then have to change out the suspension.

    thanks

If I was planning on putting on a quality lift then no the Pro wouldn't be worth it to me. I would put on 33" Pizza Cutter 255/85/16 or 255/80/17 tires and call it a day. Some members prefer the 34" wide 285 tire, with a bit of work.

    Good luck

I’m running 285s without issue on my OR. Didn’t want the pro. Toyo rims are wack, skewp is pointless, swapped out suspension, rims and tires, exhaust, skid and fogs and still 5k under the pro price. I made an OR leagues better than the pro. Pro is great if you want to keep most things in factory form and or looking to do more desert running type driving at a faster pace. Also the max tire size for both is probs a 32” tire. It’ll rub the uca on the OR cause of the shite offset they use. The pro wheels sit out about a 1/4-1/2” more and will clear the UCA. Either way small tires

Does yours have the better lights, interior, exhaust? Or are you rocking the cloth.

Please just get the OR…it does everything the Pro can do for thousands less. Save that money and upgrade suspension, wheels, tires and save.

I would think with all the shortages and production cuts, a Pro will be just that much harder to find in the next few months (and be marked up even more ridiculously) than an OR. When I got my OR about a year ago, I didn’t even consider a Pro because of the (then) $9K-$10K markup over an OR. IMO, the Pro just didn’t have close to $10K worth of extras over the OR. And a lot of the extras on the Pro, like the suspension, are mid-grade quality parts for premium top dollar pricing.

I find the ovals run better. Easier to clear CMC.
