I would welcome that. I actually attempted to work with both Marlin and TG on it back in 2019 because I wanted to design an adapter that would work both inputs, but I didnt get any traction.

Maybe NW Fab since they can make stuff like this relatively easily? Though it would probable eat away at their own systems.

Yea I don't see them being willing to do that since it doesn't make sense from a business perspective.
Making and selling a part to allow the competitors product to work across more platforms....

Unless they just want to carry another solution by having an a adapter for a crawlbox that isn't theirs, it wouldnt make much sense for them to pick this up since one of their big selling points is that you don't need adapters using their box with the factory planetaries.

Realistically any machine shop with the right equipment could easily make it. It's more a matter of economics when it comes to the demand with the special tooling for that specific adapter. I could not even get 5 people together to get the cost per adapter down at a reasonable price point.

Finally found a transmission so going to be pulling my a340e (prerunner transmission) with inchworm pre runner adapter with a trail gear 23 spline 2.28 crawl box and selling it here soon. Also has a single stick shifter for the crawl box. You guys will get first dibs if anyone is interested.

I am looking for a 95-04 adapter to 79-95 cases, possibly a horse collar crossmember and long shot but a trail gear air actuated rear disconnect.

would consider trades as well for anything listed above

Orrrr extremely long shot, but I’d trade everything (a340e prerunner transmission, inchworm prerunner adapter and tg duals (2.28 front and 4.7 rear)and shifters) for an atlas.

Do you mean a 95-04 transmission to gear-drive t-case adapter? I posted one for sale a few days ago (I would've posted it on TW but I don't have 50 posts yet).

Thanks for the response, I had forgotten about the need for the 22 to 23 conversion on the MTs. Thanks as well for the links, I'll read through those and may reach out to you directly with a few questions if you're up for them.

Would you mind sharing how much if cost you to get both machined? (based on your build it looks like $600/piece for the adapter when you did a run of 5?) Sounds like it might be a pretty penny, but the outcome looks great.

Looking at the NWfab option. If I was to look and compare vs piecing together a TG/Marlin setup. Is there a reference I can use anywhere in this thread or otherwise for all the right components I'll need to get a hold of?

Is 2.57:1 the only gearing option available with the NWfab box? That's what it looks like online.

I think I could get a similar same ratio by going to 4.7s in my fronttcase before the crawl box, but I like the idea of maintaining by existing gearing in for 1st low.

Happy to answer any questions you have on the adapter stuff for the MT as I spent a lot of time with it.

I never got enough people together to do a run of 5. I did a run of 2 spline adapters at a cost of just over $1k each.

If you were to do a 1 off run for both the oil seal extension housing and 22 to 23 spline adapter you're looking at around $1800.

I believe NWF is looking at adding the 4.7 option later hit them up on time line I don't remember what he said when I ordered. He did say it was in the works.

whats the set you got? I always struggle when rebuilding cv’s with the interchangeable plier set, need something more heavy duty.

I have a snap on pj10. Apparently they don't make them anymore but you can find them used. Weird seeing a tool I bought in 2006 listed as a vintage tool. My other ones are these: https://www.amazon.com/TOOLEAGUE-In...PYTWB1WNSJ5A82HCX&qid=1634395956&sr=8-1-spons

I went the spendier knipex version this morning after fighting with the clip again. I’ve done it with my current sets but it’s always a fight.

added to my soon to buy list

these will work for the lock rings but not snap rings. I used this set for my rear axle bearing job and it worked awesome. They have a small indent where the sharp edge of the clip will get stuck in so it doesn’t pop out

is there enough space to engage the holes in a tight af spot like the tulip c clip? Either way I’ll probably buy it but def curious to see how the knipex I have coming already performs

not sure, you can borrow mine next time I see ya if you don’t want to waste the money in case they don’t. I’ve not used them to rebuild a CV yet.
