They are powder coated. I’ve had them this way since 2013.

Got some more things added and all that’s left to do now is mount it back in the truck and then mount the transmission and tcase

not pictured is the dipstick tube. But I painted it black too.

And every bolt has been torqued to spec. Putting that heavy ass flywheel on was easier than I thought it would be. Put new oem studs and nuts for the headers. Dropped lower pan and it was extremely clean. Looking up at what I could see everything seemed good.

Would running seafoam through the oil be a good idea or help in anyway? Plan on changing the oil in 500 miles anyways.

    Hopefully nothing leaks.

Also found a crack on the old engines upper oil pan from a bolt. Probably from sealant busting through. Would explain the oil lean on that side.

engine is in. transmission is in. still need to put oil in it, coolant in it, supercharger on, coolant hoses, fan and shroud, and supercharger belt. then it should be good to go. got everything done from 10-530 so not toto bad.

also, if you ever get a new engine, make sure the dowl pins on the trans and engine match up. cant put the two together if there is a dowl pin on the same hole on both the trans and engine. makes for a bad time.

I put a third gen trans in my truck and it was missing both dowl pins. I was able to use one from the old setup and the other was sized in the trans. So it only has one for now.

Just an oversight. These things happen. It's easy to miss it when there are a thousand other things to attend to in the middle of an engine swap. Gotta dot the T's and cross the I'd if it is to be successful.

Did you use a torch? How about a good old fashioned hammer? Some channel locks? I would had squirted some penetrating lubricant and then went to town on it.

 that would bother my somewhat OCD nature.

I was doing the job on my back in the driveway, so after some time the ocd took a step back.

Dude yeah. I've been there many times. You stop caring after a certain point and just want to get it done.

URD Headers and Fuel pump upgrade installed! The Header install was an absolute headache oh my god. I did turn my truck on with just the headers and the sounds was absolutely amazing. Definitely couldn't run like that but it sounds amazing. My buddy also busted my front O2 sensor during install so I get to buy a new one of those
