Anyone run 35s tires with their JBA uca? Seems like most popular brands of wheels don't come with the required offset that would clear the JBA uca . Spacers seems to be my only option to run with JBA and 35s.

Wheels are 4.5" BS w/ 0.75" Bora wheel spacers for a total of 3.75" of BS on an 8" wide wheel.

Well, in the end JBA is refunding my purchase. Not sure how that's going to play out because I already zeroed out the CC I used through PayPal.

Anyway, here's how it played out in the end. After NoFraud said they were going to request a copy of my receipt from JBA to verify my PayPal email without giving them a second one they went silent. Didn't return my emails or calls.

Yesterday I had emailed back forth with JBA several times. They told me they never got that request from NoFraud, and that I should contact them. They have nothing to do with their process. The person clearly wasn't trying to comprehend what I was communicating.

I called NoFraud half a dozen times throughout the day before I got through to someone. The woman I spoke with told me the date and time they asked JBA for the info, aand that she was sending them another email. She would get back to me by the end of the day (which she never did).

A few hours later I emailed JBA asking if they'd gotten the request. The guy got snarky with me in his response, saying if I was unwilling or unable to clear things up with NoFraud they'd issue me a refund. At that point I gave up and issued an equally rude response that if they were unwilling or unable to communicate with NoFraud then I wanted a refund.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that the rep from JBA never even offered to make contact with NoFraud. Even after I sent them a screen shot of the email where NoFraud said they requested more information. That is shit for customer service. I really wanted to support local, but in this case they made that impossible.

I know some a-hole is going to chime in and say "well I never had a problem, they're awesome." Well that's great, but they're clearly not awesome all the time.

No I didn't speak with the owner. The initials of the person I dealt with were CS.

I got less than 5000 miles on my boots and they are cracking. Sent JBA photos and a few emails, I have heard nothing back yet. Bought the UCA in Nov of 2020. Has anyone gotten the cracking boots with JBA resolved yet?? Thanks

Ok, I know I’m gonna get flamed for this but I’ve been wondering this since the day I saw JBA and other UCAs that are similarly built. Why, on earth, after spending this much on a modern truck, would you ever install something that looks so horrendous. I get it people will say “they get you in alignment after stuffing 33” tires without CMC” or “why would I ever pay more for an upper control arm?”. Oh I don’t know, maybe because these look like you pulled them out of a Cracker Jack box. Maybe that’s why you should spend a little bit more money and not be a cheap ass. Just never understood you JBA fan boys. There are plenty of companies that offer a quality UCA that will work for your needs and also look like an upgrade. These legit look like you could win them at Dave and Busters.

We talking quality or color ?

I'd hope a company like JBA who has had great feedback minus what seems to be a small supply issue has quality materials. I've installed 2 sets and they were great.

As for color, I think we've all seen much worse than red powder coating

As far as the rest of the JBA UCA other than the boots, They are great!! You have more range of motion than the others. As far as the color that's not big. If the color bugged me that much...that's what they make spray paint for. I have not heard of any problems other than the craking rubber boots. An to me that is a vendor issue.

What other uca would you guys recommend it seems like jba is having issues. In the spc thread there's lots of complaints about quality control lately as well. I'm not gnarly enough to justify the extra maintenance/squeakyness for the performance of uniballs

Camburg has ball joint UCAs. And to be quite honest with you, uniballs aren’t that big of a deal at all. I’ve been through everything with my Baja Kits UCAs, including a winter here in the NE. You literally just clean them and lubricate them every time you wash your truck. Easy as that. Nothing special and I’ve never heard a peep out of them on or off-roading. Ever. Of course I’m not prerunning or anything extreme like that, but still. Uniball maintenance and noise has been greatly over exaggerated.
Camburg, Dirt King, LSK, Baja Kits, hell even Total Chaos. I’m sure there’s more but those are top quality companies right there.

And I’m talking all the above. Quality, they look cheaply made, and the color just is icing on the cake. I’m just blown away when I see people running high end coilovers paired with these and similar UCAs. Just ain’t right.

Personally I’m an open hater on Icon. But I’m sure they’re not bad UCAs by any means. To me they’re just a ball joint UCA with some fancy branding. They look pretty sweet I’ll give em that. Big plus being billet
Edit: just saw they have the delta joint in a tubular design as well.
