09 base 2wd auto 207k : had a head gasket replaced a month ago. Down hill after that. One week later I get a p0420 code. Replaced the catalytic converter. Looking around I see I still have residual oil in my coolant container.. I flushed it got better but not 100% completely rid of oil it leaves a thin black film around the container. I just got thru replacing the battery today granted it was 5 yo. And the kicker....ever since I got it back from the head gasket job it shudders in a way I can't describe other than it feels like the in suply fuel line gets pinched & released..All this in the span of 4 weeks FUUUUUUUUDGE !!!!! HELP....

Problems can be expected to rise at age and high mileage.

The battery and the cat issue I can definitely see at that age. But I thought the head gasket issues mainly dealt with 05-06? I haven't really seen as many on later models going bad but maybe I haven't been paying attention.

    OP has a 2.7 engine.
They didn’t have that problem like the 4.0.

While it’s not common, the 2.7 can have problems.
While the head was off, I would have had the updated coolant pipe put on. (Maybe he did?)

OP, I can’t help with the shudder.
Are you an Auto or Manual Trans?

You replaced the valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals, as well?

Pop the #4 coil out and see if it’s dry or wet with oil at the plug. I did replace a coil after installing new spark plug tube seals and vc gasket

It will need valve cover and spark plug tube gaskets first then any shorted out coil replaced
