Illegal Pete’s has a decent quick white guy burrito. Los Chingones, Pinche Tacos, there’s a ton of other Mexican spots around Federal. US Thai for Thai food, Star Chinese, Osterio Marco is pretty good Italian, Sushi Den, Death & Co. is a cool bar with good food. The roof top bar of the Le Meridian. Mile High Vienna beef if you like hot dogs. Sassafras or Lucile’s for brunch. The 1up is kinda fun if you’re into video games. Couple cool art things going on at the moment. Meow Wolf and the Immersive Van Gogh look pretty sweet. I don’t know anywhere good to shoot down there but there’s many up in the mountains. Anyways I’ve never lived in Denver so there may be better spots than the ones I’ve mentioned but those are some of the notable food places I’ve enjoyed while visiting, I’m sure I forgot some. Welcome to CO don’t F it up! Haha!

    Trails.

Stay off Blanca unless you have 35’s and locked. Lots of great trails. Your Tacoma will do at least 60% of the trails in CO (and I’m low balling). Check out Buena Vista area. Great trails out there.

You might be surprised at how many people get shot in an indoor shooting range.

I’ll shoot rain, sleet, or snow.

Indoor range is the first place I ever went shooting; I didn't feel the least bit unsafe!

You said it. Lots of first timers go to ranges. You might have had a good instructor, but not everyone has that.

I'm guessing you probably learned to shoot before you got your driver's license...?

I’ve never been to an indoor range but something tells me I wouldn’t like it. Also I really enjoy shooting clays.

I didn't learn how to shoot until almost a decade after I got my driver's license!

I drew an elk tag for area 20 this year, out by Estes Park. Been exploring out that way and some of the forest service roads are pretty tough.

Good to know! How long is the elk season for here?

Hahaha idk why but imagining that was hilarious.

But for trails, check out Trails Offroad. Super handy resource to find trails and they have an easy-to-understand rating system so you don't under-estimate the conditions. https://www.trailsoffroad.com
