Hello everyone, my name is Adrian and I just signed up to this page. I have a 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. I’m getting ready to purchase a new set of wheels and tires and need some suggestions. I’m interested in getting bronze rims and all terrain tires. Rims, I can’t decide if I should get 17s or 18s. Someone already told me that I should get 17s but I don’t know.. I hardly ever go off roading. I’m hoping I can get tires with an aggressive look that are good on the snow and rain and that are not too noisy. 5406F18A-7622-4A2E-A936-F6B3C6E96F99.jpg

You technically didn't ask a question.

    17s.

    Welcome to the addiction!

17s mean more rubber, better for offroad
18s are less rubber, better for onroad

for what its worth, there are a lot of mods you can do that will pay off better than rims

Which ever tire or size you go with being you rarely off road. I would stay away from an E rated tire. Harsher ride plus the added weight will hurt your power and gas mileage.

    {EDIT} Welcome to TW!

Have you done any research for Wheels & Tires?

Type: "Tacoma Tires" into YouTube and review recommended suggestions.

Are you interested in gold wheels, or bronze? For your sake, I hope the latter. If the former, I’m out.

Welcome! I think 17s are the best size for Tacomas, unless you plan on a lot of off roading, then 16s are the way to go. I put 17s on my 14 SR5 that came with 16s. I have better handling on road and better looks (my opinion), but the ride quality did go down a bit. I think 18s would ride too rough, but I’m old, so there’s that!

    Welcome!

I personally like 16s and that's what I'm running now.

    Here's my setup:
    • RelationsRaceWheels RR5-S 16x8 -12 Matte Bronze (discontinued this option. only available in 17s now)
    • BFGoodrich KO2 265/75/16 - No rubbing before or after lift
    • Fox 2.0 Performance Shocks ~1.5 inches lift

Thank you all for your comments. It sounds to me that 17” wheels will be a better option for me. Can somebody tell me which tire is less noisy out of these three?
    -Nitto Grappler
    -Falken Wildpeak
    -BF Goodridge KO2

I think Falken Wildpeaks are the quietest. the KO2s are the loudest

Now we are getting into opinion.

    None of them are quiet.

Of those three, I think the wildpeaks are the quietest, IF you can find a set that properly balances.

I have the WildPeaks. They are quiet for the most part. I did have to go to 18's to get a 32" tall tire under 50lbs. each.

I have the Nitto G2s. Pretty quiet and have never had issues with balancing. I’ll give them a b+ in the rain. As for snow I can’t tell you as I don’t have to drive in it. Bronze wheels look great with a red truck.
