I’d ask the vendor performing the installation on your truck.

Has anybody tried taking their rig through an automatic car wash? How dumb of an idea is it? I’ve been using self-wash exclusively and trying to avoid getting water near anywhere that could leak, but maybe I’m unnecessarily babying it

I keep debating on it. I don’t think there is Anurag issue as king as it’s under 7’6” give or take. That’s my locals I need to see. I would prob wash it more often if I did

I’ve been debating trying my local car wash also. Haven’t washed the truck since picking up the camper.

I think it should be fine if you can fit. I pressure wash my truck at home with no leaks or issues but of course I sealed whatever I could. If I could fit at a car wash here I would definitely do it.

Got an email from Josh at SP, "we’re just waiting on a delayed delivery of our anodized billet aluminum corner hardware for the hard shell tent. Currently we’re hearing they should be here in approximately 2 more weeks." Kind of puts install on target for 3rd week in October... There's a few of us with May 75% deposits. fingers crossed.

The delay should coincide well with my retirement date. Then maybe I’ll take up lobster fishing.

Picked up our camper on 9/30! First little road trip to test it out up around the Olympic Peninsula and we had a blast! The camper worked out amazing. The first night we had a little condensation but didn't really have the vents open and our little fan was going at possibly too low of a speed. The next night we opened our vents up and woke up with barely any condensation and it rained most of the night! Super excited to get to adding some mods to this sucker. First off, we definitely want to add some insulation and some sort of a floor so our knee's aren't killing us from crawling around in there.

I've been super happy with the bedrug! Soft and fully waterproof.

We want to eventually build in a bench seat and then a counter/bench on the other side. You have some mods in the back right? I think I saw you had some 80/20 bench seats, how do those hold up with the bed rug? Do you just have them attached to the side rails? If I remember correctly...

Yup - I have a full 8020 build out now with the bedrug. It's been great and they're only attached to the side rails - no real play/wiggle or anything with the floor. I built it though to have the front to back rails sitting on the high points of the bed ribbing so it's only maybe 1/4" of bedrug under those portions.

It looks great. It appears SP is using a new panel for the last 20" gap at the end of the sleeping platform.

They are super handy! They mount up to the sides when you don't want to use them and also stack on top of each other. And the holes help when you want to fold up the tent with the windows are all closed up. I guess before it was kind of like a big wind tunnel without an exit but now the holes let the tent close easier.

Love those new panels, hopefully they make them available to existing owners eventually

How are you guys fishing your wires through the frame? I pulled some 4 AWG into the bed for the DC-DC Charger but it wasn't cooperating transitioning between the horizontal and vertical channels.

Use a fish tape or a coat hanger.
