hey ya'll, hope everyone's doing alright with the storm that came through last night :( I haven't had the guts to go check if my truck got beat up, definitely heard some small hail at my place during the storm.

Has anyone seen any threads about increasing extra switch count in a TRD-trim truck? I did a search but didn't find much. Everything I see on the retail side seems geared towards non-TRD vehicles, and looks like they wouldn't work with my stock switches without a substantial amount of repositioning of the stock switches. I was about to order the anytime camera kit today and that got me thinking about switch options for my planned lighting upgrades. What's everyone's favorite options for that?

Hip overlanding guys can correct me if I’m wrong but I think most people opt for some sort of switch pro

    something like this

Obviously this doesn’t use your factory blanks but is a nice, clean option. How many blanks does your truck come with? Could pop out a blank and put in a splitter with some extra switches but would prob extrude out so far it’d be fugly

Yeah, that's my main issue. I only have 2 blank spots in the entire truck, because of all the switches the TRD OR / my truck's options added. I'll probably end up going with something like that switch pro... Looking around at all the aftermarket panel options, its looking like at best I could gain space for 2-3 more switches over what I have now, which is probably enough for the short term but may not be over the long term. I'm also looking into some mods that could let me remove some switches, like wiring up the inverter to be 400W all the time. I'll probably just bypass the switches for the rear cross traffic, and parking sensors, too, so that would let me get a couple more switch spots open.

I didn't think much about the switch situation until after the purchase and its proving potentially problematic, hah.

If any of the roof console switch panels ever pop back up as available anywhere that could be a decent solution to add another couple spots, too.

Been lurking a bit. Might as well say Hello! Picked up a 2017 TRD Off-Road in August. Hit Taos, NM with it the weekend we got it. Been out to HF once so far. We are down here in Kyle. Look forward to meeting everyone when meet-ups happen again. :)

@BrittsBlackBowser i have recently in the past 2 weeks to install my own suspension upgrades. Great group of guys there and all the tools you need. $30/hour for the lift that includes the tools and they are available on site for any questions you have. I highly recommend them. Have fun!

it was my first time using a lift and first time wrenching on suspension of any kind. I watched several videos on the installation of an Eibach pro truck stage 2 kit that includes coilovers and rear shocks, sway bar relocation bracket, and 1” rear lift blocks. Took me 5 hours.

Experienced people I imagine can do it in near half the time. Was an awesome learning experience and actually I want to learn more if I can get my hands on some tools like angle grinder and some type of welding.
