Made some brackets to reinforce the front of the bedsides, but didn't expect them to be as cracked as they are....

I’d say just replace them! Especially if you haven’t yet! Or you’ll end up like me!

coulda been way worse. Even 20mph makes for a bad carnage aftermath. This doesn't look bad at all.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I used my 1st gen Tacoma to go buy parts and tools to work on my wife's 1st gen Silverado lol

    Before

    FB_IMG_1633312298588.jpg FB_IMG_1633312310103.jpg FB_IMG_1633312329287.jpg FB_IMG_1633312335175.jpg

    So... We're replacing
LCAs (with bushings and ball joints)
UCAs (with bushings and ball joints)
    Inner/outer tie rods.
    Both CVs

And now I think I'm going to order pitman arm, idler arm, and idler arm bracket

Got most of the tear down done, pressure washed the wheel wells, got the LCAs and UCAs in place.

Does the center console still fit? I had some recaro sr3s in my old integra and they were super comfortable.

possibly. but the cover can go on an aftermarket too.. the factory one isnt greaseable though. unless he injected grease with a needle through the boot.

I'm guessing that as there is no grease on the joint. The aftermarket ones grease the ball directly.

he mentioned greasing them and i see fresh red grease. im just curious if it was an OE or aftermarket since the truck doesnt appear lifted.

I did use a needle. They were OEM and they came from the factory.

Well that indeed blows. That was my fear on my fathers truck so I’m glad I got around to replacing them last month. ~200k on them

It's less Tacoma and more mod
If you can't afford to fix it this instant yourelf, then yeah maybe. But this is likely a couple hour job if you can get a ride to get some parts locally and it'll save you money doing that.

Damage to the body? If not they’re easy to swap. Probably be a fair bit less than the dDeductible
