Howard Stern Fans?

Holy shit! I listened to Medicated Pete's show! I can't believe how good he did! I almost want to say he kept things moving better than the show with Hein, Ralph, Chris and Ronnie! I felt like a proud father listening to Pete!

 

Since he has been on the show and was always a great guest, I thought it appropriate to share that Norm Macdonald died. Sad . I always loved his comedy.

 

anyone care about Cold Play? They are only on because Sirius is doing a special for them so naturally......

I have to say, 2months off and the last 3 weeks haven't been very good. recycled guests, no bits, no produced segments by staffers...... more covid bashing while H and Jimmy had many man dates but that's ok for him.

 

I’m behind. Mostly because it really isn’t too interesting and I’ll burn out after an hour. I skip all the COVID talk. It definitely isn’t as good as when they are in the studio.
The audio book was good. Steve and Marty were interesting. Jimmy is refreshing.

 

I just started trying to catch up.

Only on the second show since he's been back, the one with Steve and Marty.

 

He had the staff in the other day talking about stories from their past. It was good. Enjoy that more than guests.

Dave Grohl tomorrow, and Mick Jagger Wednesday. Im going to fast forward to next week. Waiting all summer for howard's agenda. I thought is "knows what the audience wants".

 

I really like Dave Grohl yesterday. But I'm a fan. I have to like the person that's being interviewed to listen. I'll probably listen to Jagger. I have listened to some interviews just because they happened to be on and was surprised that it was interesting. I do think Howard is one of the best interviewers out there. One of the main reasons for that though is because there's no other forum out there like his that someone can be interviewed straight through for over an hour or 2. Someone being interrupted for a break doesn't have the same thought process as someone who has free rein to talk through what they're thinking.

 

Also, some of the Covid stuff is getting old. I don't mind him bashing people here and there but the constant not understanding of people want to live there life is getting old. Like getting mad at beth for wanting to have lunch with a friend. It's a little ridiculous. I'm vaccinated and wear a mask when necessary but I can't stay in forever. F that. You're dead already if you're afraid to go out into the world IMO.

 

Seriously, his wife has always been a social person, they are vaccinated, she’s not an idiot but lives with a paranoid person. 18mo locked in a home with him had to be stressful and add all the kittens, she needs a life.
If you do read between the lines when Howard speaks, they are seeing people, going out and being somewhat normal but he picks one aspect and tears it apart, and it being your “loving wife” on air is brutal.

and lastly I can’t stand their term “double vax”. The vaccine is 2 shots so no one is vaccinated until they get both. There is no double vaccination. Ugh. /rant

Robin's BF Jake Gyllenhaal is on today. I did watch his new movie this weekend, first time seeing something before the guest comes in. Personally I felt it was terrible, time to see how Howard says it was fantastic.

 

I watched it beforehand too. I didn't think it was terrible. But I can relate more with it being that I was a 911 dispatcher (hence my username). It could have been better though. But I know that stress of trying to work out an emergency and only over the phone/ radio. With that said, I was hoping it could have shown more of what was going on. I know they were trying to relay that stress of not being able to do anything and trying to piece shit together without seeing it but that's hard to do unless someone has actually done it.
