I agree. It's something on the want list, not the afford list.

What's limiting the rack moving forward more? If it's the tunnels through the cross member, what if you did like the JD slide rack, and notched it out, reinforcing it on the other side? Then you could push the rack forward another 1/2-3/4" probably?

It’s the drivers side diff mounting nut. That’s why I shaved into the rack a bit to squeak it forward.

Another eye protection promotion @Subway4X4: Today I was running a rental Harley rake when the hose blew off the crimp at the skid attachment end 20211002_183455.jpgThankfully my glasses blocked all the direct impacts in the eye area 20211002_143919.jpg

We had a customer come in our shop the other day who has a glass eye. He said he lost his eye because he was trying to loosen an Allen head bolt with an Allen key and it slipped out of the bolt, bounced off the ground and went straight into his eye, barely missing his brain... Pretty crazy. Really made me realize how easy it is

It's okay, the wasp/hornet spray that I got covered in earlier in the day helped by providing a base for the hydraulic oil to layer on!

Look Dave, we all can't have a stand-by "Dave" filling in at certain events/inconvenient times!!

Seriously though, this rental is either free or they can lock it down for another Friday rental @ Free$, but I guess I get to see the rental insurance "in action!"

Those lenses have seen better days. This is exactly why they won't let us on the shooting range at work with regular sunglasses. They have to be impact rated safety glasses.

Yeah, main reason I don't run the glass lense option.

I had been wearing safety goggles the day before due to the major dusting from the sections of the road that are more sand and dirt than gravel.

Little bit of everything. It'll make PCSing easier with three vehicles. Reduced wear and tear on betty. Can get home if she breaks. Can bring george with me since he can ride there in the safety of the tundra. Can rent travel trailers from base to take the family camping. And what kicked it all off is Carvana offered me $2k less than what I paid for the highlander, so it was easy to just get rid of it.

I bought it from Carvana, that online service where they deliver it to you. It'll be here next Monday. I have nothing against going to the dealer but this was just too easy, and they had what I wanted. Whole process took me like an hour.

Was the price fair? I need to replace my taco with a tundra. Family has outgrown my back seat.

It was. What’s nice is you can see the exact price you’re gonna pay OTD on the page of every vehicle. This is a 2020 sr5 trd sport with 10k miles and it was $53k
