How much water is a concerning amount of water?

How much water drains under everyone's truck after finishing a ~2hr drive? I assumed it was from the AC previously, but have not had AC on for weeks now that's fall, and I am still seeing a significant pool of water under the front of my truck when I get home (2-3 ft across, 1 foot wide). Bringing it in soon for 10k service so I'll ask them as well, but just curious if others have similar experiences.

I have it on my radar to research the AC drain mod, but I'm super not mechanical so it's taking a bit

I have a 2016 TRD OR and have never seen a puddle, not even a few drops. My truck has been garaged since I got it…nothing on the ground ever.

I assume it wouldn’t be from rain or snow collecting under the truck…?

I would be concerned and tell the service guy

Mine drips probably a one foot puddle. Your defrost runs the AC also I believe.

Initially I thought maybe it was from melting snow (bought the truck in December), then rain (hooray spring!), and then AC since we went from 40 and raining to 90+ degrees in the span of days this year.

This is the most I have driven in consistently dry conditions without the AC- so hearing it's not normal at least validates my concern enough to ask. My prior cars- many of which were absolute junkers, also didn't have this happen this much... but this is my first *new* truck so I kept trying to justify/talk myself out of it. I'll ask the techs about it, and someday I'll learn to trust my gut...

I've read elsewhere on here that the AC doesn't even have to run in order for it to make enough condensation to drip. As far as how much, I've usually seen a puddle about the size of the palm of my hand. If you check where your AC drain is, it might be running down the frame laterally, but still doesn't seem enough to warrant a 2-3 foot puddle. You can't see where the fluid is coming from?

Limited data to report on still, but I *did* have the de-fog on the last long trip that resulted in significant water. I'm hopeful that's all it is.

De fog is running the AC. Enough humidity in the air, and you'll have puddles.

High humidity, efficient system and free flowing drain makes big puddles

To verify, all you have to do is slide under the passenger side around the firewall and look where the water is coming from. That hose nipple you will find is from your evaporator case inside.

Mine has dripped a few times on the passenger side but it is very small amount of about 1tbsp splattered on the floor mat.
I do some on the ground after being parked I guess it is normal from the AC drain hose but inside that is another question.

How much water depends on climate. Here on the wet coast, I expect to see a decent amount but it is tough to tell with all the rain. In Arizona where it is dry and hot, I wouldn't expect too much. Also, expect to see more when you have a truck full of passengers and the windows up. Humidity plays the largest part. These systems do cycle the A/C to pull moisture out of the air to prevent window fogging.
