My 2009 Tacoma has crank windows too, I like them. If I forget to put the window up I don't have to turn on the key again to put it up.
No one in the family has ever had a power window fail. I have repaired a number of crank windows where the regulator broke.

A cougar stalked me in my own neighborhood. She was unhappy when I declined to play her game and I got away.

I had to replace a little metal clip that holds the crank on; Cost me like $2.29 or something...

She was ok, she just wasn't cool. She expected me to do what she wanted. Oh and I found out she's married, she didn't mention that.
She said "I'll give you a ride in my BMW." Bravo Foxtrot Delta

Now my truck definitely gives the appearance of having just been driven through a horde of zombies!

One would think that only a 4WD truck or SUV would make a good Zombie Outbreak Response Vehicle, but zombies don't just occur in secluded rural areas, and/or up in the mountains, and/or where the weather always requires a 4x4...

In the any or all of the aforementioned environments, 4WD would be highly recommended or possibly even obligatory, but what about in an urban or suburban setting? What about in a city where it doesn't snow?

A certain coffee company proved that a Prius could be fitted with an operational machine gun, so why not use a 5-lug Tacoma as a zombie patrol vehicle?!?! There were would certainly be no issues with reliability, and even 5-luggers can be easily "up-armored"!

In more places where it never goes below freezing, it would be probably be worthwhile to replace all of the glass with metal mesh; It would also probably be smart to disconnect all supplemental restraint systems (airbags to the layperson) because impacts to the vehicle that could set them off would likely be common. That said, I am very dedicated to realism, but this truck is my
daily driver and we are not living in a postapocalyptic zombie wasteland, so I will not be dismantling it.

On another note, I was going to buy some fake blood at my second job, but my supervisor says that the stuff stains skin and takes months to fully come out; I have no idea what it will do to my truck's paint, so while I'll likely buy fake blood at some point to use on the props, but I am not going to risk using it on my truck!
