they seem fine, FN told me that they come from china, other models are made in Philippines and Thailand, if they look good rock them. Volks are great but they come with long wait times pre/post scamdemic

I don’t think a flow formed wheel would be stronger than a forged wheel. And if it is then I bet it’s a lot heavier. Doubt they are bad wheels just I consider them reps in comparison

no one said they were stronger…I was merely pointing them out as an option that didn’t cost $5k. I will go be poor somewhere else.

Literally the guy I was replying to said that FN had said they were stronger. And a set of 4 should not be 5k. I got 4 in 18’s for 2800.

right, “some guy” without an actual source. I doubt FN would claim they were stronger than forged.

I don't doubt it at all....is it really that far fetched that a salesperson would stretch truths (or outright lie) to get them to buy their product?

you must be new here…Dustin at FN has been selling wheels in here for decades, and has the absolute best reputation. Do some research…please

I think you hit the nail.on the head. FN's "might" be "stronger", but that would only be because they weigh substantially more than Volks... if that's true. And I also don't doubt a rep would make that claim, without qualifying it with the weight difference.

It's worth mentioning here (although it probably already has been over the last 3,500+ posts) that strength is quite "subjective"... What does it mean to you?
To me it means the ability to absorb a solid impact and keep rolling, albeit with some damage, as opposed to cracking and requiring immediate attention. This is the difference between forged and cast, and something I've experienced personally.

You’re such a bad ass wheeler…i hope one day I can achieve your level that would require forged wheels. God knows how many bent and broken cast/flow formed wheels Ive seen on the trails :jerkoff:

Why are you in this thread? You've been repping fn and bashing volk in a volk specific thread LOL.

I didn’t once bash anything…why are you here? You don’t even drive a Gen 3. Are you going to tell us how hard you wheel in your $5,000 JDM wheels

You've got about 175 pages to read and realize this thread isn't gen 3 specific at this point.
