I was gonna ask if they paid cash or financed, but she answered that question for me when she told me how much they paid for it!

My best friend's mom bought a late model (like 1978, so late model for the time) used Ford Pinto in the early 1980s and even though she had decent credit, her interest rate was like 18%. By Pinto standards, this car was pretty well-equipped, with A/C and an automatic transmission! My friend was born in December 1988, and his mom says she had the Pinto until after he was born, so she was driving the thing until like 1989!

The things I don’t like about FB I won’t mention on TW.
I respect and enjoy TW enough not to drag it through the sewer of FB.

I can tell you one thing that's safe to mention here; I'm an admin in a car enthusiast group called "Underappreciated Survivors"...

The group was flagged for repeated discussions of the Chevy Beretta because Facebook's stupid algorithm thought people were discussing handguns!

Seems we skipped most of the thunderstorms around these parts. It was a little wet driving to York this morning from the residual rain (Turnpike to 83 S), but coming home was dry so the cruise was set at 80mph and I let er' roll! :D Scared mother yet again on 83 South and North as people were being dumbasses, but business as usual to me. More scared of the other drivers shenanigans, not mine, I should clarify. I'm used to driving in Philadelphia and Syracuse, NY from years back so it didn't phase me

    Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!

Lynn and I started prepping to extract the honey we harvested from the hives - giving the area and all the equipment we use a good cleaning. I think we'll actually extract tomorrow or Thursday. Today we'll move the extractor up from the stable.

I got the email I was hoping for yesterday morning from the Civilian Marksmanship Program M1911A1 group - been waiting since I submitted my packet last February and received the random generated number in April. Called right away to tell them what grade I wanted and give them my credit card info - and last night I got shipping confirmation that a WWII vintage .45cal M1911A1 was shipped to my local FFL. They overnight pistols so it should arrive today - hopefully. They have all been through multiple rebuilds and most are mix masters of parts but will be just like I carried as a LT and CPT in my early years in the Army before they switched to the God-awful M9 Beretta. Pics to follow.

    Be safe out there!!

It's actually a cut. The round shape comes from the back of the threaded rod we were trying to drive through a hole as a shaft retainer. I told the hammer guy to stop while I repositioned and he didn't hear me.

The nail will fall off later.

I'm betting they will have a 3rd round after they complete this list. I missed the 1st round.

I REALLY hope so. I signed up for their emails about sales updates. I'm also hoping they do some more M1s. Right now all they have available are field-grades. I'm torn between waiting it out, hoping for better quality M1s to come up or hopping on one of the field grades while they're still available

I love my Field Grade M1 - got it when they were selling the Greek returns. Field Grade is just what you would probably draw from the Arms Room. At this point, any Service Grades will be rebuilds I think. I ended up replacing the clip latch spring on mine but it shoots really well.

Good morning. It's foggy out my way this morning. I think I will wait to walk the dog because some people drive too fast on our narrow country road.
