Installed my injectors that I had refurbished.

Seems the cleaning was much needed.

Avg mpg is already up and acceleration feels better

Idle is more consistent but there's still a slight vibration but that may be the mounts.

Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
Made a 6 hour round trip and added an Uptop Overland Truss Rack. The guy I bought it from has his pictures on Uptop’s site of this rack on a white 3rd Gen. I think it’s awesome they’ll fit 2nd or 3rd, not a lot of that crossover that I’ve found so far.

He threw in the monkey fist and MaxTrax mounts, so now I guess the decision is made on what brand of recovery boards I have to get.

This seems to be an amazingly sturdy rack for being aluminum construction. Planning on getting a rooftop tent around the new year if work gives us a good bonus.C46A6E9C-B2C8-420A-A530-F29550D7B7A9.jpg 846172B4-B6E1-4284-A11C-070BA21453FC.jpg 1C234A9E-A445-4738-8FDA-EC1C070617E3.jpg 3620DC42-90AA-4DCC-A218-CE02F253EEB5.jpg Picked it up yesterday but was too dark by the time I got home.

@upTOPoverland this is a fine product!

%^*# TOYOTA. This should be fixed by Toyota not a mod. This AC condensation drip is a huge failure by Toyota. Im so mad now. I wish i knew about this mod like 14 years ago. Now i have a F%^*+# hole in my frame due to rust. Stopped by at the dealer earlier today and guy said i have to have big enough hole (3” in diameter) in order for them to swap the frame and he also said oh your vehicle is out of warranty too. Im not even mentioning the paint peeling on Tacomas too, should be another recall!!!

This is nothing new, I had a 3rd gen 4Runner that had frame rust due to the drip.

Any vehicle can use a re-spray after 10 years, regardless of brand.

Some people prefer their 4x4's not be galvanized from factory (rust-proofing), so that mods can be welded on without causing toxic fumes.

If you have one hole and the rest is fine, maybe you can cut/weld a repair panel and paint it.
    Warranties usually have expiring timeframes.
    10 years, 5 years, etc.

I wonder how fast the hole would grow if you hooked a saltwater bottle and tube dripping controlled by a flow rate valve.
Kind of like how engines with water-injection controlled the flow of water.

Recalls usually only exist for two reasons.
Either it's a safety issue, whether found by NHTSA or not, that they deem is worth (cost-wise) to fix
Or got sued the shit out of class action, making it a recall
If it wasn't a safety issue, and nobody gave a shit, then it probably never grew into a recall where the manufacturer is spending hundreds or more extra to make you happy

Yeah just one hole that visually I could find. Will have to wait till the weekend and then i can lift up the truck and inspect the frame little bit more. So little hole can be patched up with out any issues down the road?

Grabbed one last matching tire (while I still can) & mounted it on my matching spare beadlock. Locked it up & strapped it down with my bottle Jack in the bed. This time I used ring spacers from Battleborn & I like the fit of the ring down on the wheel a lot better. Thankful to grab one of these tires while I still can. Seems like all tires are going up in price and down in availability.

Did a radiator coolant flush today, and installed my new SDHQ Billet battery terminal upgrade! Also installed the JLT 3 Performance Oil Catch Can a couple of weeks ago and new splash guards! My new pair of Nitro Gear Upper controls arrive tomorrow. I'm also saving up for a Toytec Lift kit (Leaf spring package included) for the holidays. I'm going crazy with my Taco! :yay:

Your nuts are upside down. How’d you even tighten that? Also that corrosion preventative suppose to go on top of the terminals not between post and terminal.

I was in a hurry and it was raining! I used two wrenches (Used one to tighten and the other to hold the bolt)

Thanks for pointing out the bolts being on backward. I'll re-adjust them when it stops raining in my area. About the anti-corrosion stuff, I was always told its good to usually spread it on between post and terminal so it doesn't make a big mess. Maybe I should apply the rest on like you recommend?

Man that looks great, drastically changes the look. I wish I could get away with tinting the windshield here in San Diego. I might have to re-register my truck under my brother's address in Deer Valley AZ

The connection between the terminal and the post should be clean. For something to corrode it needs oxygen and oxygen can't get between the terminal and the post if the terminal is tight.

Tinting the windshield makes a huge difference in temperature inside the cab. I've had several windshields tinted with 50% and I've never gotten pulled over. 619!

Been using petroleum jelly between battery posts and cable clamps for nearly 50 years. Use anti-corrosive washers between battery and clamps. Best cheapest way to prevent corrosion.
