Ah yes, more Southeast regional port add-on shenanigans. MAN I'm just finding out about this now and I wish I had that. Mine didn't come with any valet key so I'm always worried about dropping them in the drink or losing them somewhere when I'm out.

It’s really not that hard to buy non-CA compliant things elsewhere and bring them into the state. Sure it’s a pain, but I just plan my purchases ahead of time and bring them home with me when I travel out of state. Small items are super-easy to have shipped to an Amazon Locker, larger items I either pick-up directly or have shipped to wherever I’m staying.

    Most likely:rofl:
But seriously, the connector to the Driver's Door window/lock control has all the inputs required for the install. There's an item sold that provides illumination to the interior door handle which is a "T", where you could tap into the necessary feeds.

    The T is already available.
Fused ignition source in the Accesscab connector is the Power Mirror juice.
Still missing the ID on unlock/lock wires...

If you use T-taps that package includes, all wires are in Driver's Door harness.

This person on Reddit here says that you only need the keypad part, and he extended the harness and installed it on a back side window of the 4runner. It might be worth trying to install it on the back window of the tacoma.

    Requires technology package per here:

A hitch vault will solve this for ya, they’re solid aluminum and block the fob signal when the lid in on and the vault is in place.

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
    There's a hitch in my receiver 24/7-365.

All my Fords had this identical feature and my Tacoma is my first Toyota ever. I was really bummed to see they had no such a thing when I bought my Taco a year ago. It might seem like no big deal but I really loved the feature on my Fords. One of those things you don't really realize how much you use and like it till it's gone!

Some out of stater wanna send me a couple for my Taco and new RAV4?

Did you purchase this "off brand" keypad and install?

I bought my truck a few weeks ago and I wasn't sure what this was. I was able to reprogram the code and it seems to work well. The only issue that I have is that it is less than a year old and there are bubbles under it already. The truck is less than a year old, still under the factory warranty...I am hoping that they will replace just the part that sticks to the windshield since it was port or dealer installed.

Looks like an easy plug inline part. Just don’t set off the side curtain airbags.
