Toyota website took down the ability to build a 2022 Pro at the Dallas Zip Code. Probably caused to many questions from the other Zip Codes?

Looking to “order” a TRDOR dcsb with a manual. But seeing all these rumors of ever dealer asking over MSRP (before TTL) has got me not wanting to wait a month.

I just tried it going strait to Toyota and then build and price and it worked for me as well.
I am in Texas but that shouldn’t matter when you set the location your choosing.

I think whether you see certain 22 tacoma models right now is regionally based particularly TRD Pro's/trail models. I cant see them online yet and dealers dont have allocations/msrp for them im my area either (Southeast/GA).

Update: I got a text from the salesman today saying that my '22 Tacoma was built on schedule yesterday - no delay from the build date I was told when I paid my deposit 2 weeks ago.

For me it was a $1000 refundable deposit. More details copied and pasted from a post I made in another thread:

When I ordered (or reserved, or [insert preferred verb here]) my truck a couple weeks ago, it went in this order:

-Discussed what I wanted (trim, packages, color preferences)
(TRD OR, minimal options, color preferences were cement, red, or green)

-They looked for available inventory that they could get from another dealership
(No luck; they could only find Magnetic Gray Metallic which was a deal breaker for me)

-They looked for trucks in their existing allotment
(Found a green '22 TRD OR coming in late October, printed the build sheet and brought it to me)

-I confirmed that that I wanted to buy that specific truck

-We negotiated the price for the truck and my trade-in

-After agreeing on the final price, I put down a $1000 deposit

Has anyone asked about leasing a 2022 Tacoma TRD, website is telling me that these models don't have lease options.

TACOMA WILL NEVER GET A DIESEL OPTION, get that out yalls heads. Way to much regulations on the diesels here in the states. Not worth it considering how little sales are going to be impacted. That’s why the Colorado is dropping the diesel for the next gen, the reason Ford just dropped the diesel from the F150 and the reason the Silverado/suburban more than likely won’t be continuing the diesel for the next gen. If Toyota was going to do it, they would of done it.

Something else, American fuels, especially diesel is not the same as EU fuels. American diesel standards are really dirty/sooty. I just spent a fair bit of time in Europe and those turbo diesel motors are a peach to drive - but you never smell or see it, unlike visiting a gas station in America and the diesel pumps stink and are covered in black grime.

No discount, but a fair deal... what I got amounted to paying MSRP, via a ~$1000 markup* and $1000 more than I was ready to accept for my trade-in. I looked up the Tacoma and my trade-in on KBB, Edmunds, and NADA to form my expectations.

*Details - There was a $2400 "ValPro 360" package that they wouldn't sell the truck without, which consists of rubbing some magic juice on the paint and fabric to make them better than Toyota could do on their own (HA!), as well as paintless dent repair for life. When I told them I was ready to look elsewhere if that was neither optional nor negotiable, they dropped it to $850. There was also a $199 documentation fee.

ValPro 360 package? Urghh I hate those dealer installed add ons. I got taken by a jeep dealer when they attached these security stickers to every body panel. Told me "all their new vehicles leave the lot with them".

Just placed a deposit for a 2022 Pro MGM, like electric lime or whatever but not sure I can do it long term. Paying MSRP, getting $40k trade on my 2020 with 25k miles lol.

New here and new to Tacoma. Placed $1000 on a deposit on a super white SR5 double-cab 5’ bed. Supposed to be built beginning tomorrow. Looking forward to learning, building, and being a part of this community. It’s my 4th vehicle ever, and first truck. Had a ‘98 Wrangler TJ growing up in Colorado and did a lot to it. Looking forward to this!
