    Chestnuts started dropping yesterday.
    Sounds like meteors falling.
    Usually have a mini van with Asians show up like clockwork and grab a bunch.
    Grabbed a couple for myself this morning.
    After they all fall, a couple passes with the mulching blades make short work of them.

    Wouldn't want one of those things drop on my noggin.

    I'll cook a few on the grill.
    You scratch an X in the shell with a knife and they open right up.
    They're called a nut, but are not a true nut and folks with nut allergies can eat them. Supposed to be good for you.
    All sorts of recipes out there including Old English stuffing .
    Saw them in the grocery last year for 8 bucks a pound. :eek:
