You know what the sad part is, if you look up the MSRP of all the parts on that Capra Core 6, it comes out to be 9500 and you get the frame for free.

Maybe the price of the suspension comes down, but as of now I think there's a $1000 premium on it over the standard Ultimate setups. So a $2000 fork and a $1500 shock.

Now if you could get the bike and sell the frame for $3000, it may be a bit easier to swallow, but if that's the case I'd rather just get the Core 4 and still sell the frame for $3000 and use those parts on a bike I'm interested in. Being YT, the frames probably only worth $2000 though.

Thats a whole lot of math for me today!

I think we should create a Tacomaworld Bike shop LLC and get all of our parts at cost.

I have thought of doing what you mentioned in the past but I always ran into compatibility issues.

I've been trying the vendor route for some time now - most companies aren't even accepting new dealers

If we could put in an order for like 10+ YT Capras we would be set parting them out on Pinkbike. lol

We could at least make $1000 per bike I'd guess, so $10,000 extra in a year, if you can put that kind of money down on 10.
Not like this shortage is going to cease, it's like GPU's for PC's leachers buying everything up to resell.

you know......not a bad idea...we could be a national chain with multiple locations. each with our own TW certified mechanics who are mobile. Our schtick? we show up with our tacoma's. lol.

If you called YT and told them you want to buy 10 or so of their bikes, they'd probably discount them some even.
Think of it like Alex buying a new rental fleet for his tour business. It is free advertisement on their part and all they had to do is slightly discount the stuff, even if it's free shipping that's something.

I had breakfast and a ride with a buddy who owns a local bike shop, a few days ago. Even old dealers aren’t getting much love these days from some suppliers. Even considering supply chain issues, and high demand, some manufacturers and distributors are treating their customers better than others.

yeah. we could definitely make it nicer in general. not to mention we could become a mobile dealer in our erespective areas...

Yeah, My LBS is getting the run around by a few manufacturers. both bike and biek parts manufacturers. it's really shitty. There's a few companies that are still treating their dealers really well and we love them for it and will come through all this with a better relationship with them. but yeah....

PCMR (that's Park City Mountain Resort for the non-Utahns) was seriously unreal this weekend. Can't get enough of these conditions!

Honestly. Fall riding anywhere is awesome. This past summer was so humid I had to plan to ride in the evenings (my local skatepark has lights). Even then it was hard to ride more than an hour and my bike felt like it weighed 90lbs.

Past weekend it was so nice I rode for 4 hours.. no fatigue.. no getting broke off. LOVE riding in fall

It’s just XL. The XL/XXL wasn’t a choice in this color.
