Installed an UltraGauge on a Spiker bracket. So far I like it. I might put some film on it to make it orange and match the rest of the interior lights. Is there a forum on how to program all the settings and what gauges additional gauges I should keep on eye on? Mainly wanted trans temp, voltage, and average MPG but can view 6 gauges on once screen.
Edit: Finally found this one. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ultragauge-thread-all-things-ultragauge.391335/page-2

Opium was given to children for aches and pains for decades. I'm not sure why parents stopped.

If the rest of the frame is in good shape and it's a discrete hole it could be patched. I would just make sure that whoever is doing it knows what they are doing. People repair frames all the time when restoring vehicles. There is a company out there, can't remember the name, that manufactures frame repair plates for the older Tacomas, not sure about for 2nd gen.

I've seen that thread and I follow it. It's great!
@Pdugan6 has a kit from THOR so I wanted to see what he did on the inside. The THOR website doesn't have any inside pictures either.
On the thread, lots of guys are putting an insulated plate to lower the noise.

^ just reminded me I never shared my story about SPC. I had their UCA's on for about a year and a half and I started to hear some bad squeaking from my front end intermittedly. I had my buddy stick his head under the truck when it was making the sounds and he thought it was the UCA's. I messed with them and found a little play in the bushing just before I was heading to Colorado for a long week wheeling. I was going almost past SPC headquarters so a short detour to stop by and ask a tech if they are bad or if I'm crazy. They determent there was a problem and said we can go threw the warranty process and send me out the door with new ones to install when I had time. To my surprise the sales man I was talking to went back and talked to the boss and came back to tell me if I had a hour or so they would just throw them on the truck for me then and there and do a complete alignment no charge! (working on costumers vehicles is not something they would normally do at all) 2 hours later we were on the road to the mountains with new UCA's. I have to say that SPC not only has great products but also outstanding customer service!

Are you running Dakars? And do I see leaf isolators?

So one of the mods I did this last weekend was actually to remove the "limo tint" (darkest they had at the tint place) film from the middle slider window on the back of my cab.
I have a Besttop softtopper and it has tinting as well on the vinyl panels and let me tell you, at night or when it's raining it's REALLY hard to see behind especially if there's also dirt on the outside of the windows too..

I also had the definitely not legal level of tint on my driver and passenger windows for a couple years but a Tempe cop noticed and gave me a ration of shit so I had it removed and went with the best quality ceramic tint at 35% I could get. I don't miss having that dark of windows especially when wheeling because seriously, you're like Ray Charles out there.

As far as 50% on the front windshield goes, I know there's no law against that but that would bother me (just from my own personal experience).

Rest of your rig is pretty tight! Guessing you're working on getting a front bumper at some point?

All you need is some antisqeak pads in the holes at the end of the leaf pack. I bought some off Amazon for cheap and trimmed them to fit. Works like a charm and i have 2 add a leaf's in my Dakar's. 8 leaf pack. Haven't had a speak since i put them in and ive been through all kinds of mud and dirt.

All good things to consider. I didn’t end up with Limo on the back of the truck at all. But yes it’s quite dark as you can see from the outside. I actually built that winch tray / backing plate there and I’ll eventually do tubework around it, sort of hybrid / trail gear style but not for a minute. I do wheel a lot at night during the summer but even the tint I had before hasn’t been a problem for visibility and I don’t have a ton of crazy and expensive lights

I have thought about getting some more of those also. I was upset when my AAL didn't come with them. I have been spraying mine down with Slip but that comes off every time I use a pressure washer on it. I just want a way to keep them quiet for good instead of spraying them every couple months. Might go that way but dont want to take them apart again. I do need another leaf though.
Also did you pick up the 2 inch or 1.75?
