I was factoring that in. I think the frame clearance is less.

My SWAG is that they're going the Ford / GM route and having lower trims and lifted trims?

    Just for argument's sake:

Looks about the same to me, red line crosses at the lower edge of the center hub cap:

I think the 4th gen has a bloated whale of a body that's taller and longer. At least the larger wheel arches may be able to accommodate bigger tires with less trimming. :)

I hate to say it but isn’t this a access cab 2022 tundra looks exactly like it. I understand they may scale it down to the Tacoma line up but the “camo” looks exactly the same as the tundra.

Do we know for sure what model year the Gen 4 will be? 2024? Any chance that test mule might be a Gen 3 refresh for maybe 2023?

4th Gen. is expected to debut as 2024 model year, appearing mid-2023, according to several sites. I don't think Toyota will invest heavily in the 3rd gen with less than a couple of years left, most likely just new colors, new wheels, new tail light pattern, reshuffle of accessory packages, etc.
The Tundra has a double cab model that's longer/wider in proportion to the wheels:

    2022-Toyota-Tundra-CarScoops.jpg

The camouflaged Tacoma is noticeably shorter between the cab and the rear wheel arch:

I wouldn't be surprised if the test mule has Tundra body panels on a shortened frame with narrower axles.

Tundra and Tacoma will share the same frame, which to me, means the same suspension. Could a common frame accommodate both leaf springs and coils?

    Check build thread!
That would make too much sense for toyota to do, so they'd never do it.

Rear non-suicide door is wider than 3rd gen access cab doors.
Mud flaps at very back of bed go all the way across and look flappy (seriously what are they hiding with the flappers).
Wheels blurry indicate the truck is moving.
Guy driving in pic below is wearing sunglasses.

    Details gentlemen, details.

The proportions looks like a mini tundra and I don’t mean that as a compliment.

What I am seeing in all the pics is that the driver is sitting much lower than in the current models. Our trucks have lots of side to side room. But are kinda tough to get into. With the steering wheel all the way up, I rub it getting in all time. I would say there is more room inside now, with better seating...if this is a new 24 Tacoma.

If it looks like the new Tundra, I won't like it at all... Just too much grille.

Looks like Toyota is going the route that Honda did with the new civic that looks like it’s big brother the accord . So I guess the Tacoma will look similar to the new tundra .
