Bed cover hinges melting?

    What if the plastic piece on the ends is broken? Both sides of mine broke off and I was able to find and super glue one side back but the other was lost and never found.

    You can get replacement parts for those. I think the four pieces are all different part numbers.

    I would look at placing ESI Rok Block over it, or try remove the OEM melted strip all together then place the ESI stuff. They have different sizes and width...here is a link to it

    Would you place over the stock ones or would you replace with this?

    I'd say if they are damaged (melted or otherwise), I'd scrape the old and place this EPDM one instead. This stuff is very sticky, good quality. It comes with adhesive promoter.

    I have had the exact same thing happen to my 2019 Tacoma, 6 ft bed. It started about three months ago and has deteriorated rapidly. I get the full Texas sun and heat in Dallas, so that is a common denominator for this problem.

    I have replaced mine twice now. My advice is don’t wait to replace. They become a sticky mess to clean up. Much easier if you get them before they get to that point.
