Favorite Whiskey?

John J. Bowman. I didn't know about the connection to BT. I grabbed it just because I've seen it posted here before.

 

I'm partial to Blantons and Woodford Reserve mainly.

 

I’ve posted about it a bunch. Used to be 28 bucks a bottle! One of my staples since I’m a bt fanboy. It’s great juice!

 

Hahaha! Malort isn’t whiskey but Jeppson’s does make a whiskey! Saw it the other day and couldn’t bring myself to buy it.

 

I’ve had the single barrel, I prefer the small batch to be honest. @Bowhuntercoop turned me onto it

 

Malort can be whatever you want it to be after you drink enough of it.

 

I had a second pour of the Willet. While sipping it I thought of your pickle juice comment.
I do get what you mean as it does have that vibe. I wouldn't have noticed it if you hadn't mentioned it.
I think it's the heavy Oak. Like I said it reminded me of 1792 which I love. Which is also heavy on the Oak.
Still and enjoyable pour.

 

Time for a “little” tasting

 

my in laws are the best, came in to visit. Bought me 2 bottles. Trying this 1843 now. Not bad actually, reminds me of Weller sr. I’ve never seen it before but it was cheap, like 24 bucks a bottle. McKenna 10 is always good to have multiple bottles of for the stash!

 

The 12 is my favorite.

 

Thats funny, it’s mine too. The 10 is pretty standard tasting and the 15 is too much oak. The 12 is juuuuust right

Good to hear! Was a gift from my wife’s Godfather after I got him a bottle of Weller, so I haven’t tried it yet.
