That's a horrible idea. What time?
When we landed in Okinawa in August it was 113 on the tarmac. Plus humidity. A week later it was 136 in our cement box warehouse. Oh, and it was humid. We did PT @0600 when it was a cool 80-85 degrees. And humid. I'll take the dry heat. Like Phoenix dry.

Thinking of doing the ECGS needle bearing replacement when I swap out my coilovers as a preventative measure while I have everything apart. Just curious if most people who do it themselves buy the ECGS removal and installation tools, or if you buy/borrow tools from elsewhere. If the latter, what/where have you gotten the tools from?

    Morning campers!

Just started the day with a Teams meeting about OSHA snagging one of our guys at work caught completely in the wrong. Emails and meetings are flying now. Be safe.

    That is all.

Anyone got a good place to get a safety inspection where they are rather lenient so I don't have to cover lights, etc?

I'd be interested to see other responses to this. I went here: 7501 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306 last year and they didn't say anything about the light bar on my prinsu. However, this year I have a chopped exhaust, one more light bar, and am missing a sway bar. Don't know if that will be too much for them to overlook.

I went to Exline Automotive last year and they were wayyyyy too thorough. I knew I was in for a wait when the guy came out and asked for my lug nut key. Literally took an hour and a half.

Did anyone here get the original OVtune with dongle a couple years ago? Maybe I’m not bright, but I’m trying to follow the more recent threads and don’t really understand how this has evolved to Vftuner and what that means for me in terms of do I have access to this for free as an existing user? How does this relate to KDMax? Sorry again, I can’t follow the thousands of posts on this.

I don't know everything, but here's what I know. OVTune got out of the tune business and solely sells the VFTuner software. These "garage-tunes" that are creeping up are folks writing tunes that are based off the latest version of the OVTune. If you already own the VFTuner software you can buy one of the tunes and flash. Your VIN/ECU needs to be unlocked first and that requires tokens from VFTuner. If you're buying the software for the first time, you have enough to do this.

As a personal user you can only unlock one ECU/VIN. If you want to do more you'd have to purchase the pro-version of the software.

A recent time-dependent study found this statement to be true for times between 0 and 8hrs after waking up, and false for hrs 9+. After 9 hrs, the equivalent nights sleep was -3 days

You didn't show your work for this research. Where's your supporting data?

Data is primarily qualitative and based on a case study: I went to sleep at 2am, woke up at 5am, drank a monster and probably developed heart palpitations as result of all that caffeine, went to work for 3.25 hrs (they're short shifts) and managed to not die or kill anyone, went to home depot and bought some wood, came home and built a shelf, now I'm in class and I wish I was still asleep from 3 days ago. Hence the result of -3 days lol

We'll have to have this study submitted for peer review.

And if you really want caffeine. You should try Bang energy drinks. 300 mg of the go-juice. It's what made me the man I am today.

And my old man statement for the day: When I drove a tow truck we worked at minimum 12 hours a day/six days a week. I have no doubt that if DOT ever found out there would be hell to pay.

First post in this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/vf-tuner-installation-guide-faq.695951/#post-24612379

Looks like OG dongle customers can turn in the dongle and get the upgrade to vFTuner for free.99.

    Per that thread:
The kit is supposed to come with the credits you need to flash/register, then you will just need to purchase the tune of your choice.

thanks. Does the Vftuner flash the ecu to the latest? I know my 2017 had some weird version like OB04 or something that needed to be updated before any further tunes.
