Did a few hours of some offroading. Moderate trail with pretty rough roads and vibrations. Everything held up nice, no lose mounts. Skids, bumper and sliders saw some action on a few tougher obstacles. Didn't really notice the SP being too much of an issue as far as center of gravity and being too tippy

In a Tacoma, there’s not enough space with the decked system for headroom. I’m cheating cause I have a Tundra. In a tundra, it pretty nice to have the decked system though. I’m enjoying it so far. It’s nice to have a flat surface to chill in without raising the top.

I removed my Decked before install. Ive been debating whether or not to reinstall or not but I'm leaning towards selling them

On a Tacoma, I’d just sell it. Prices of decked system went up so you may be able recoup all your cost at the same time. I like the ability to use my bed without popping it open.

For what it's worth, I got a home made drawer platform about 8" tall, and it makes crawling in and out a total pain. That being said, I'm keeping it since the pros outweigh the cons.

Do you have a link for the Molle panel that you attached the 13g Ironman tank to?

I was going to build one wheel well height but I may not anymore after what you said.

Yeah it doesnt help these things weigh a stupid amount too.

Good to know. I may throw it in the truck bed for hunting season to see if I like it. I feel like it would be so easy to have my house stuff on one side and hunting equipment on the other.

To be honest, there is enough room to stand up when the tent is open. It's getting in and out of the bed that is more difficult. Luckily my body is still in good shape and flexible, but if you have any fragile limbs I def would not recommend.
Gotta get a little acrobatic. Thing is I could never not have drawers anymore. They are so nice imo.

Awesome, so far I don't expect 3rd gen folks to have issues with the latches. I have not seen any 3rd gen comments they were loose. The mounts were designed around the 3rd gen. the bed is higher and they fit better plus the front of the bed sits on the lip as expected.

Good to see you out exploring! Enjoy.

Really dig the idea of wrapping it. Setup wise I was thinking similar but do want to move my fridge to the back so I can get more room up front. With the kid and his car seat the truck always seems crammed with stuff. I tend to not put it in the back due to dust that makes its way into the truck.

I considered moving my fridge back there too, as it's not super comfy for my passenger having it in the back seat - the battery bank, fridge platform, etc kind of limits how much the seat can recline. Although, I didn't want to be working around it all the time in the back and it's far more convenient being in the cab. If it did go into the camper, though, it for sure woulnd't be all the way forward as that makes it a real pain to get into.
