It looks like it plugs into the MAF sensor there. The white plug with the black electrical tape on it taped to the intake.

@304Smitty no that one is a sensor it doesn’t fit I already try putting it on it doesn’t fit, the black tape that is around that is a small block idk what it is but it’s like a sensor

I think that plug is for the factory cruise control. Its left there by the factory even if your truck does not have cruise control. Below is a picture of a truck similar to yours that does not have cruise control and it has the same plug.

@STOCKTRD its looks exactly the same, you might be right then, maybe is just me going crazy since the check engine light is on. Then it should be something else

Go to the auto parts store and tell them CEL light is on and ask if they will read the code using OBDII SCAN tool.
Most provide a print out of code # and known causes as well as repairs.

yeah you need to get the code scanned so you know what it is, otherwise you're just shooting in the dark. Like Black Dog said, take it to an auto parts store and have them read the code for you. Then post it up on here and we can try to help narrow it down

    Does the truck run well?

Sounds like the all too common P0420 code...usually indicates a bad catalytic converter. If you live somewhere that does smog checks like CA then you need a 50 state legal cat replacement, they aren't cheap. But luckily for 1st gens there are aftermarket options that are much cheaper than OEM. Still pricey though

I bought one from eBay, around 250$ hopefully I can take it off it’s the oem one has a lot of rusted bolts, might be hard to take off but I’ll replace it, also I notice it has 2 sensors would I have to replace the whole exhaust system or just the cat part ?
