I was at a stoplight when someone in the next car flagged me down. They saw the “Aperture Laboratories” on my tailgate, and the lightbar on my roof and said “Hey, do you work for a lab? Do you have the vaccine?”

 

No shop knows how a pressed in wheel bearing works, and I don't have a press or the tools... Fml

I've seen the capability for fucking shit up incompetent shops possess so im trying to be selective here

 

Would have been a good time to give them a shot of pentobarbital, rid us of their stupidity.

 

So I've got these "keys" out and I assume the holes correspond with the number of "bumps" in each slot



Had to carefully turn them to pull them out of here







Pushing in number 4, pushed this slot I'm pointing to



But moving the dials to correspond with the symbols found on all sides, in order, doesn't do anything...hmmm

 

There's always a choice </3

 

Do you watch Chris Ramsay on Youtube? I feel like he brought a lot of attention to puzzle boxes in the last few years

 

My dad paid a shop a grand to do my axle seals (was still living at home) and the driver's side still leaks to this day. Go buy a press

 

Buy the tools and a press, less than $300

I haven't but I've always enjoyed these as a kid even.

For Christmas some 2 years ago, my TWSS got me a ton of those metal puzzle rings.

 

They’re also great for corking wine bottles, crushing things for fun, and other stupidity!

 

Or buy one, use it, sell it a week later for half (maybe even 3/4?) what you paid and still come out way ahead over shop labor.

I mean, don't people say Harbor Freight tools are disposable?

 

There's only already 2 cars on the driveway and a 2 car garage worth of crap

 

I think that's exactly what I'm going to do

 

After dealing with sloppy press work from a shop... you might not get a better result, but at least it'll be your own mess that you can feel proud of.
