I am installing the goose gear rear seat delete and there are some spacer blocks stapled on right where the back panel attaches to the bottom panel. It looks like I need to just cut or break them off to make the panel flush and attach properly. Is that right or am I missing something? The labels all indicate these are the correct panels.20211006_151906.jpg

Do you have it upside down? or did you miss the spacers?

The mounting locations for the vertical panel protrude out a bit. I'd imagine that is what these blocks are meant for.

None of this is fully attached yet, but here's a photo of what it would be like if I keep them on. Just seems odd to me that it would protrude out that much when it could sit flush against the metal brackets.

The wall that it is up against isn't flush though.

It's not upside down, and there are spacers for the top. I probably will go further with the install and see. The video makes it appear that the back panel sits flush against the brackets.

Per my comment above... I think it's to provide a gap for the rear electric sliding window to operate. You should have received two additional spacers and some longer bolts to make it all sit vertically.

That video may be of a 2016, before they had electric sliding rear windows.

Got it. I will go ahead try going further with the installation and see if it all makes sense. I appreciate all of the input.

I built my own and have a 1.5" spacer back there effectively doing that same thing. I think they are meant to be there. Good luck!

Thanks for the responses everyone! The 60% side is arriving tomorrow, but I got the 40% side today and started on it. The spacers probably make sense and will see how it all comes together. Thanks again.

Is there an install sequence for these? Like does the 60% need to be installed first?

Not necessarily. There are brackets that attach the 2 sides together. However, the motor for the window is on the 60 side, so it probably would have been more obvious had I done that first, but I don't have it yet and started with what I received today. Too eager I suppose.

Just making sure in case you have to reinstall the 40% due to the 60% having to be in first.

I appreciate that. Other box is supposed to arrive tomorrow so yeah, I've packed it up for the night and will continue when I get the rest.
