Mine is one of the thousands sitting in lots around Michigan waiting on new tops to be built. Ford didn't figure out in over a year of design and testing that the tops start delaminating within a few weeks of being built. They THINK they will start building a new design in October. Hard to even remember when I reserved mine back in July of 2020.

What a bummer. I’d be pushing for the no-top delivery.

Ford should get the makers of FlexSeal on this hard top fiasco.

I would have rather seen an attached steel hard top design from the beginning, or a steel roof over the front seats and the removable roof over the rear section. Like previous generations.

Ford should just get the pick up version out sooner so they can get past this hard top issue.

My Bronco is one of thousands sitting in a giant dirt lot waiting for a new top, which so far has not been designed and produced yet. Most likely, my 2021 model will be delivered in 2022, 6 or more months after it was produced. I'm not real happy about getting a 21 model after 22 models start showing up at the dealer, unless Ford decides to discount it, which I'm sure they won't.

I will say that after this I am done with Ford. Still excited about my Bronco whenever I get it, but there will not be any other Ford in my future for quite a while, if ever.

Ford might designate your 21 as a 22. There are my 22 F-Super Duties out there while 21s are still unsellable.

I doubt it. It's VIN# was created in April of 21 and built in July of 21. Anything is possible, but most likely it will be take it or leave it.

I doubt if the vin will be changed. I wonder when the 22 Ford trucks at the dealerships were built.

I'm kinda surprised that ferd won't deliver the vehicles as-is, with it being known to the customer that a replacement roof will be installed at the stealership when they become available. That would be the win-win at this point. The customer gets their new rig and ford can keep making the trucks without worrying about storing them in open fields.

I like the look of the new Bronco, and it has the potential to be a really big deal in regards to an off-road capable machine straight out of the box. I also think that if Jeep would basically make a factory version of the AEV Brute X-cab, they would sell the hell out of Gladiators.

I imagine they are worried about how many tops will be damaged in shipping and having to pay the dealership to install.

I thought I heard something the other day about a new top already being released by a new vendor and they started replacing some tops already? That’s why they have finally made it to the dealerships for sale.

No. Same vender, Webasto is making the "new" tops, but they are not available yet. Ford thought they would start getting them sometime in September. They need several thousand, so it will be some time before they are all replaced.

I'm actually considering selling it as soon as it comes in and buying a mid to late 70s Chevy SWB stepside. The Bronco is an extra vehicle and the longer I go without it the less I seem to need it.

Still freakin waiting. Supposedly the new tops are being produced and the giant lot of bad top Broncos are slowly getting replacement tops.
    I think by Christmas.

Finally got the new top installed, so my Bronco built July 13 can finally ship. Should have it by the end of the month.
