I think a big dog is one of the best security systems of all. They can hear and sense shit that we never would and alert you to it. Not to mention a lot of people are afraid of big dogs, thieves included.

 

Next best thing would be an elaborate booby trap system, but that's illegal in many parts of the country lol.

The one on the left is cinnamon basil (has gotten uuge) and I kinda want to transition to more of an herb garden once some space is freed.

 

Yeah its satisfying to see the stuff grow, especially tomatoes because they really grow fast once they bloom. I just won't eat them, my wife can have them all*

*unless made into a delicious salsa or marinara

 

I've already dried enough basil leaves and ground them up to fill a small container - you can mix them with your marinara lol

A good punji pit doesnt kill via impalement. The key is short sticks that you put poison on (vietcong used feces). Death comes from the horrible infection a few days later.
