Aluminum is fine for scraping over things however steel does hold its weight better. And I've watched two recoveries and aluminum bumpers ended up bending the recovery tabs and/or the whole bumper.

 

ya thats the plan tomorrow is to drive a pro4x and a standard 4x4 ranger im pretty sold on the frontier if i like it tbh (no i wont be buying it this weekend)

ya i guess ive just never seen anyone have to many issues tbh if you plan to do anything long distance and not beat on it id say go with aluminum but if you plan to bounce off stuff id go steel

 

I keep trying to get in to drive a Pro4X but they're always sold by the time I can setup an appointment.

 

i set one up tomorrow if it gets sold oh well but ill for sure drive one before my final choice!

the crazy thing is if you go towards st louis or arkansa they always have 3-4 in the area but here in the kc area we have 2 then 2 in kansas and one 2wd in st joe(i watch the nissan website to see when they get shipped out lol)

The dark green is kinda Vietnam green to me. The blue ones are friggin sweet

 

i just like green and ive never had a green vehicle lol

the blue is amazing tbh i saw the same color on another nissan and man it looked great i can picture it lol blue truck with gunmetal or hyper black wheels and some 33" ats and call it good tbh i would want sliders for protection and a built in winch bumper eventually but later on

these are all the pro4xs in 250miles of me but some like the st louis one are way marked up...

the blue in st louis wants 49,500
the green in arkansa wants 46,700
there was a few others i called on but cant remember...

Non pro 4xs aren't too bad on price though..

I hear ya. If I didn't already have my Taco, a lower end KC 4x4 might be on the radar, but if I'm getting one of these newbies it's gotta be Pro4X (like my current/older model Frontier)

 

would you swap the taco or the frontier for one?

 

My Frontier is dealership clean. It would be swapped if it can work out.

The Taco is too good, and has too much done to it. Trade value on it won't be much due to the work/mods/trail damage. Plus it's got the long bed, it's the workhorse of the fleet.

 

ah i gotcha ya i plan to trade the si and see what they would take the truck for to humor me then ill try and sell it if i decide this is the route i want to take


it still has some issues but overall it still drives just not perfectly

 

thought id ask this since your truck is stock and its tuned but what is it like for hp and mpg and stuff since its been tuned now?

 

Lots of variables but I’m usually around 20+

the tune is definitely noticeable. I wouldn’t go back to stock ever

 

gotcha just wondering i plan (if i can find one) to drive a ranger nissan and tacoma i dont care for the chevy tbh so im not even looking at it. then ill figure out what i want to do in the future

 

Even if you found a Colorado, they're not worth it.
