Our brother is not joking about the pending paper shortage. I read an article about this very thing a day or two ago. But this article was more focused on its impact on print media, catalogs, etc. They can make shit paper from some pretty low grade pulp I would think so maybe we got that going for us.

There’s always pine cones, lambs ear and elephant ear.. also the reason I always wear two pairs of socks. Keep a roll in my tool bag as well.

Gotta be prepared. Survival skills. Get your car parts now also, cars aren’t the only thing dealerships are running out of. There’s a silicone shortage.

Employer's are begging... Job fair's everywhere, huge hiring banners in front of every business and now I'm seeing tents in front of business's with a table and chairs hoping people will stop and fill out an application !

Just need to get the government to stop handing out money. When the ‘wealthfare’ state dries up and people really start wondering about where their next meal comes from, they’ll start looking for work.

Always going to be people who game the system on both ends. People taking advantage of welfare, rich hiding their wealth off shore to avoid paying into the system. Federal stimulus ended over a month ago but I don't know what every state is doing with their own unemployment system. Unemployment rate is down to 6% from almost 15% during the pandemic. Businesses need to be competitive with each other and not the other way around like it has been for years.

I oversee a national magazine. My printer cannot accept any new jobs for next year as mills are oversold as it is. The U.S. itself does not produced the paper is uses, which most of the balance comes from Europe (so shipping is the issue there). Other issues: freight (lack of drivers, drivers average age is like 62), cost of oil (coated papers contain oil), mills for sometime have been converting to packaging products (boxes for Amazon), can't find enough workers (due to federal handouts and Covid), and a large U.S. mill is closing soon that produces something like 15% of production.

That’s exactly what happened to me at PSP yesterday. Out of Natural Balance and other stuff. They got truck on today. Only 3 26 pound bags of the chicken. I took 2 and left 1 to be nice for someone else. A lot of other flavors did not come in.

Sheba cat food all gone. Cesar food low. Petsmart not better. They have been seeing low stock for longer that petco or PSP.

not really good unless you can directly benefit from it.

Who knows, maybe if production gets back on track the 4th gen Tacomas might tank 3rd gen values. Seems like people put up with drawbacks of the 3rd gen simply because there’s nothing else out there quite like it.

that being said I haven’t seen a new tundra/Tacoma at my local dealer in a couple of months. The Chevy dealer next door only has 7 new Bolts sitting there on a stop sale order, and a 2004 Corvette parked where they normally have a new Vette.
