Hey you golf guys have any driver recommendations? or brands?

I'm looking to give my driver back to my friend since it was her father's and he recently passed

 

I've been using my trail running shoes for that reason. waterproof makes such a big difference! I'll but golf shoes when I can shoot under 100 with no handicap

I am using an callaway epic flash for the last couple years and I love it . Check out callaway preowned.I don't buy new drivers because of high depreciation. Also ping has great drivers. I stay away from taylormade. Check out wrx golf classifieds I have found some good deals there too.

 

I'm not sure but I'd just like to give it back since he was a big golfer.

Thanks for the tips! I can count the rounds of golf I've played on my fingers but I'm hooked and I'm going to play forever, so a good driver seems to be a great start. Also I'm always into buying used if possible. That's how I built my truck lol

I'm trying a free set of irons out for Patriot Golf. They're building them and sending me wedges with them. If I don't like the irons I get to return them and keep the wedges.

buying used drivers is risky (imho) like buying used WRX or STI’s.

but modern drivers in general negate a lot of the spin problems that us novices have. Very forgiving compared to 20 year old drivers.

I’ve only bought 2 or 3 drivers in the 15 years I’ve been playing, always last years model on clearance at dicks.

I started with Nike and moved to taylormade and have no regrets.

 

I'll sell ya a set of steel Nike victory red irons if interested. Freshly re gripped, going Cobra.

They're brand new on the center of the clubs. All the wear are on the heel and toe if ya know what I mean
