So you're saying you're buying 3, one to build as is, and two to combine into a super liner?

 

I already have a 4+ ft ship that I have no idea where to put...

And on the pedantic/nerdy side, the height seems way off for the length/beam. That is fundamentally bothersome for the price tag of this set.

 

So you're saying the scale is inaccurate?

 

Yeah. Length is right at 1:200, width is about 1:185, and hull height (not including funnels) is somewhere around 1:175 as best as I can tell from the promo images. It's about 3/4 to 1 inch too tall and half an inch too wide (though that isn't as bothersome as the height).

Again, this seems nitpicky, but I'm a model builder and it bugs me. Still reserving final opinion until I see it in person. It's also about half the budget for upcoming YJ projects...

 

What’s another $100 in bricks to add some vertical improvement?

 

I wonder if it’ll come with Jack and Rose mini figs

 

Sadly it’s not minifig scale but if it were it would be truly massive

 

and expensive!

I’ve had several packages shipped by DHL where the tracking drops after a couple of jumps. They’ve all eventually showed up.

Astronaut and Starship

 

Very cool.

I like the Jazz quartet, Bentley blower, marine life (although would prefer better examples), Lisbon Tram (love portugal), succulents, and I really like the double helix and king tut, but would like to see more detail and better design.

I'd probably buy most of those, although I might pass up the Bentley and king tut when it came down to it

 

I like the marine life, the astronaut and the Bentley blower, but my favorite is the Princess bride Guilder frontier. Those mini figures are inconceivable.

 

Sub'd. Playing with LEGO's as a kid got me into engineering as an adult. Looking forward to seeing what LEGO is putting out there these days!
