Basically Portalance Rd is a forest access road. It's a really nice drive along the Wanapitei River. It's a been a while since I've been up but there was a washout with a bypass around. Running parallel to the road is a powerline trail which should be a bit more challenging. A lot of people camp near the Capreol end but as you go farther north you won't have a problem. There are so many side trails in the area that you explore or camp along.

Even if you can see it, it may not be considered broken. In aviation, it's called "damage tolerant design", i.e. things can have visible cracks and still be flying with passengers.

Modified the level of gas in the tank
These fly over my place somewhat regularly at about 1000' in pairs. They follow the river on approach to Selfridge AFB. So very cool, and very loud

Well, season closed for me. Elkas shocks lasted under 2 years only… Parts availability? 2023…

So reached Elka, they told me in French to eat fries, called Krave Auto (Elka told me to deal with them), let’s wait if they have parts in stock. Very common thing apparently as they say. :angrygirl:

Thanks for the info! I'm going to be going solo so I'm not going to get too crazy on the trails but I'm definitely going to do some exploring to find a few lakes to fish. Speaking of which, you wouldn't happen to know how the Wanapitei River is for fishing would you? Thinking about bringing my Waders and maybe a fly rod or two.

What's the bore size of the heim bearing? Try to measure it, even though the sphere portion got split in half  If it's 5/8" (0.625 in.) (COM-10T bearing) like Icon, then there's a service kit widely available: . 4WP carries it, too, but with 3-wk lead time: https://www.4wheelparts.ca/p/icon-v...ver-bearing-spacer-kit-611067/_/R-FRDK-611067

I had to order this kit because my reducer bushing sheared off inside the heim bearing. My fault for installing the bolt backwards (so the weight was resting on the reduced-diameter porton of the bolt shank).
